I might change to this, it seems like it would make the game a little too easy but way simpler, cause you base the menu options on vertical height, and not key on the keyboard.
So I tried your method with all the ingredients being numpad, and I changed all my holding and order slots to be qwer, asdf, zxcv respectively with left shift being the hold button. I got gold on something I hadn't before, but it broke my brain when it came to ingredients, I prefer going based on name to the correct letter, and then remember what foods are not correct like carrots are A. This makes it way easier then looking over at the ingredients and trying to find the right key, and then trying to remember where that is on the numpad, plus I couldn't figure out where the orders were, because qwer, asdf, zxcv is really hard to remember for some reason even though it is in order.
Never the less I swapped back to the OG ♥♥♥♥ with numpad being orders top numbers being helds, and ingredients being per food and where the hell the keyboard puts it XD.
