I agree that a second side dish is needed, but I'm not sure if a side salad would stick with the sushi restaurant theme. I think reusing any of the other side dishes that were in the previous levels would be fine. (Egg drop soup, egg rolls, fried rice, or white rice.)
Yes, that would make it easier, but comparing it with the other restaurants in the game, it would still make it harder than most of the others since sushi and sashimi is always a different recipe.
Bah, if chubigans adds on a second side dish, you can just play with one side dish and it'll be the exact same!
I baiscally memorised all the Sushi recipes (Champ= RESC-F, Ocean=RUAC-WN ....); the Sashimi I did not memorise.
Refresh the sides at 11 and 17 o'clock and save some "easy" customers (do not serve customers 1-4 until Rushhour .... that way, you don't get 10 customers with the same timer at once).
Good luck! (and you will need luck: with my strategy I fell too much behind when I got 6+ sahimis during Rushhour, -> restart day)
Might check back to see if the difficulty is tweaked in the future. One fewer station, or one extra side and I'll give it a couple more tries. For now, though, I think its time to move on.
I mean unless you have some sort of health condition that forces you to use both mouse and keyboard there really is no excuse to use both I'm afraid.
I understand that since it's an achievement that it has to be attanable by more than a super-subset of players.
But if you take away the challenge of this level in the name of the achievement, I would hope that additional "harder" levels get added as compensation (even if they aren't tied to achievements). Just my opinion, though - I can also probably get the same sense of challenge by constructing my own stress kitchen menu. It's just a bit different than clearing a C4H mission that's been preset for me ;)
The only reason he's saying that is because he unlocked the acheivement already. No one wants an achievement nerfed after they earned it, but for many players this one is simply out of reach. Taking what he says at face value is essentially giving into the 0.2% ;p
he also said this:
"I mean unless you have some sort of health condition that forces you to use both mouse and keyboard there really is no excuse to use both I'm afraid."
He calls using any other method other than keyboard "an excuse." It should be pointed out that this level can pretty much only be finished with the keyboard alone, which I would say is a problem, since the game was designed for multiple peripherals.
The best solution is probably to tweak it so it's at least beatable with other setups. Anyone can still only use the one prep station or whatever to increase their personal challenge.
The last game was entirely 100%able with the mouse and keyboard together.
Also you might notice further up in this thread, I commented I did not want the final sushi shift to be tweaked even before I got the achievement.
Like I said, this game does not lock content away behind extremely hard challenges, the only thing that is locked behind a difficult challenge is the achievement and that is exactly what an achievement should be
If you, I don't know, couldn't put any of the Japanese dishes in your restaurant if you hadn't gotten gold on this shift, then I would be all for nerfing it to the ground because it is very difficult, possibly "out of reach" for people who don't want to put dozens of hours into the game and prohibiting people from accessing these dishes just because they don't want to spend hours learning sushi and sashimi would be just dumb and cruel.
But the game doesn't do that, does it now?. AFAIK You unlock all the dishes just by leveling up which can be done without getting gold, or any medal on C4H shifts. You can access everything just by playing the game in any of the available modes. Requiring something to get easier for the solitary reason of getting an achievement is just being entitled. You are not missing out on anything and if you feel like you are, well you better ditch that mouse and get practicing.
(I'm not at my own PC right now, but I definitely remember I still have more locked food than what will be unlocked just by leveling up.)
I am with you on this one, couldn't phrase it better myself. I really hope you won't be limited to get gud with keyboard only or just leave golden10th shift unobtainable if you play with mouse or controller.
