I can't start the game it goes no responding straigth after i try launching it

In the fourth chapter in the forest stage it's impossible to collect kerosene lamp. I click on it in every possible way, around it too and the game just won't pick it up. I know it's the right item cause even the hints tell me so. It's impossible to finish this level and therefore finish the game. I'd ask for a fix but I somehow doubt anyone would do this.
