Aviary Attorney

Comparable to Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney?
Not on the same level obviously, but does it have similarities?

Yes, they have the investigation, courtroom dynamic. The major difference is that investigations have time limits and there is not a 100% linear way of going about investigating.

Sounds great!

Ain't got no time for bird law. I'm gonna fly.

How much like Ace Attorney is it? Like, is there witness testimony that I go through in sections and then press them on? That's what I'm looking for. I just tried Harvey Birdman and it is terrible.

Yeah, its witness testimony and so on is basicly ripped straight out of AA. As they said, main difference is the investgation time limit.

Great, thanks!

What about finding clues/evidence on location? Like clicking on a item in the background or you just acquire evidence by talking?

It is very much like Phoenix Wright, but one major difference is that you can continue the story line without gathering all the nessecary evidence. With PW, you pretty much have to have all the evidence to continue the store.

There's no way this is a real song.

It's basically Ace Attorney and Hatoful Boyfriend in one game.

It's Ace Attorney with the ability to have things go several different ways. All cases can be won and lost. The tone of the story changes with how the cases go. There's a jury who's favor must be swayed to get a not guilty verdict (at least as far as I've gone, with where I'm at it seems a bit dicey that they'll have input). And as has been mentioned before; investigations are not simply linear. With every visit to a venue for the case, a day passes. Evidence can be missed, a witness might not be spoken to. Crucial information can pass you by entirely. And above all, as far as I've gotten, logic actually seems to work. There's no need to wait for some 'miracle turnabout' moment like Ace Attorney. Your case gets stronger and weaker on the evidence as you have it, and your ability to present. It's not real life court by any means, but I will say it has quite a bit more to it than Ace Attorney. I sincerely hope for a sequel, or DLC cases, because this game just feels like it needs more.

Personally this game could be considered better. The flaws are that it is not as long and has many bugs. But the birds will eat those bugs eventually. It also doesn't have as many massive twist moments as the Ace Attorney series does. But the game is non-linear which adds a whole new dynamic. You can lose and your game will go on, winning is actually quite hard (mainly in act 3). If the game had more length then it might be considered better then Phoenix Wright. But it is not made by such a big company so you have to give it slack.

It might've had fewer twists, but I'd attribute that to it being a bit shorter. The ones I've encountered thus far have been....Quite large when compared to Ace Attorney. Especially the main twist of the first case.

Since you mentioned act 1 and the ending I want to ask a question, is it possible to fail act 1?

I haven't beaten the game yet, but after I do I'm going to intentionally try. I'd like to assume you can. I don't remember, but can you intentionally leave the chateau before having gathered everything? I'm pretty sure you can.
