What i said is that me and others are NOT casuals,i did not say who is and who not,just say me for example ain't casual and ofc i DO "RTFM" Samuel L Jackson meme, ofc i do try the compatibility,run as administrator etc :) when running in various obstacles :) .

I don't have problems playing Fallout 1 & 2 perfectly after those patches,even without using them when i edit ddraw.ini the "mode=0" to 4 (DX full screen) and edit resolution height & width,i play perfectly like that too,without patches,EXCEPT the MOvies/Cutscenes are messed up.
Also im mvery tired at the moment and this really starts to get irritating i do have older PCs but as i said there's no need for me to play it on my older desktops,i can play it here just fine,you go troll the other people please not me .

Well i myself scanned with www.virustotal.com (awesome site ) any file under 20 MB & yeah for the higher volume patches etc i just hope they werent #@%# enough to try and hack us xD :P . Since they can't hide you know :).
And if you're a techy just analyze the files yourself,decompile and all?
My Windows is 32 bit,i've used the 64 one too but i have to upgrade RAMs for the better Windows i suppose..
Thing is,you can fix the games yourself but only the Movies/Cutscenes will be damaged :) .
How to fix everything in Fallout1&2 with no patches?(everything except bad Cutscenes/movies) and by that i mean rainbow color bug and resolution ? edit ddraw.ini i think it was named?search with Control+F "Mode=0" and edit to 4 ( DX9 Full-Screen or mode5 for window mode DX9) also edit the height & width to make it whatever numbers your desktop resolution is.

this worked not only for fallout fallout2 also fallout3 and wil wrok for any game written andsold w russian artners involved ie. some games and the companiesthat produce them and sell them use russian game engine designers due to what happened in the 70's w microsoft and tetris if you all remember all that w tetris. okay? thanks

Direct Draw Compatibility Tool fixed the resolution/graphics problem for me (Win7 64), except for the intro. Then again, you can just watch it on youtube. Who cares so long as the game itself is playable.

Again, for non-russians, just follow this link: http://www.playground.ru/files/fiks_tekstur_na_windows_vista_7_-_fallout-direct_draw_compatibility_tool-63059/ untick the box that mentions mail.ru before downloading, you'll get a .zip instead. Everything is pretty straightforward after that. Point it to falloutw.exe, click the middle button, the pop-up window will confirm the fix and ask you if you want to launch the game, yes/no. That's it.

Don't worry about the viruses and whatnot, just untick the box I mentioned since it basically asks you to use a 3rd party download manager, you really don't need that.

This tool apparently works with Fallout 2 as well but I haven't tested it on F2 yet.

I tried everything that was explained here, instead of the modding thing, and what realy helps me, was the advice from "The Real HELLCAT" (with original "ddraw.ini"). But I realy have to check ALL boxes. Now I'm able to play the game without rainbow colours and without splotchy videos (Win7 - 64bit).
