Unless you killed everyone there too, but if so, you should see the end credits because it's end game.
And you can learn about the Master from the computers in the military base, as well as from Harold, and from some npcs when you use the "tell me about..." option.
I mean have you watched the Fallout tv show?
It was first, I got to find my dad that the raiders kidnapped. Then it was, I got to take this guy that is important to meet Moldaver to rescue my dad. Then it was he is going to die and he wants me to cut off his head to give to Moldaver. Then the head became important and EVERYONE wanted it. Next thing we know One of the vaults close by is holding people in cryo sleep. Then it was, "YOOO THIS VAULT IS EXPERIMENTING ON PEOPLE?! WHAT THE ♥♥♥♥!" Then it was this Ghoul that wont ♥♥♥♥ off. Then it was, " My dad and his Boss caused ALL THIS?!?!?!?!"
It goes from 1 to a million Very fast. That is fallout in a nutshell and its a wild fun ride.
That would be fair except the game is not structured that one; part one is waterchip, part two is the mutants. That's it. Taking out the base AND the Master are BOTH part of the same second-half of the story. You can do either one first.
"And that's like.. your opinion man"
It's objectively poorly written and lore-breaking, but you're free to like it.
