I notice the OP has been banned. It isn't because of this post is it?
Firewatch gave me the best gaming experience for the past few years and I enjoyed it so much. Yeah, the plot is different and may not be the epic story to tell, but virtualbill explained it quite well here, the story works, and works well. People tell good things about the game, people tell bad things about the game. In both case that pretty much mean the only one thing - they care.
Oh, and I would rather go here with books comparison rather than tv shows. This game provides emotional choices, even though they may seem small and insignificant, they actually give you a good picture of characters, and every time you play you may with different personality. That reminds me of a good book, with pretty sweet visual :)
