Anyone manage to enable the debug menu?

For those of you unaware there used to be a debug menu that could be enabled in Dead Island. The files used to enable the menu are still in the Definitive Edition, but the method used to enable the menu no longer works. Has anyone been able to figure out how to get the menu enabled?

Yeah tried that hack here and no luck either. Knowing Techland they probably remapped the escape hotkey to something a little more cryptic :)

Hacker? It's called modding and I want to use the menu in singleplayer. There's absolutely nothing wrong with mods, I don't get why some hate on mods. Entire games have actually originated from modifications to other games. Counter-Strike for example was originally a mod for Half-Life.

I know what a debug mode is, i also know its used to give you advantage over a game, im not saying you shouldn't use it go ahead idgaf but if its not in the game anymore it probably means Techland/Deep Silver want you to play it fairly.

It gives you an advantage in single player story mode. There's absolutely no problem with that. Mutliplayer is of course another story. I should be able to use the menu as it's present in the game that I payed for.

In the old versions sure, if they removed it here its their decision, this aint Bethesda game mate xD

Doesn't work for me.. I can't get the console to open or I don't know the right key to use to open it.. and I can't disable verify the cache crap.. so nuts.. .

You have to add "-dev" to your Steam shortcut under target, then restart steam and you'll see "CONSOLE" next to your name. Type this in and then hit enter: "verifySignaturesBeforeLaunch 0"

Press ESC and then click on DEVELOPER MENU LIST to get to the debug menu. I would backup any saves before messing with the menu though.

Also, noclip can be activated by pressing Y on keyboard.

I just got glitched into an inescapable room and all I can do is reload or suicide losing a ton of cash, removing debug "because cheating is for losers" is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded logic. It's called DEBUG for a reason, not cheat codes.

Steam Shortcut? Under target? what does these mean?
I played this game for probably over 100 hours on the PS3 when I was younger and I'm not about to go through all that progress again. my brother unplugged the power cords and corrupted all of my save data, which is why it is gone...
