Pushed through the ground by you Ground based Vechicles
so i hoped out of my ship right as I depowered it and boom i was pushed through the ground of the planet. Sadly I am still falling I am not sure if there is a kill command or something along those lines...

Fell through Terrain object whilst drilling
Attempt #2 at playing a viable session in this game has resulted in my character falling through the Terrain GameObject whilst using the Drilling tool in Drill/Harvest mode (left click).

Unfortunately, this now means that the toon in this particular savegame will be falling ad infinitum as there is no GameObject with which to collide (and die on), so I'll have to wait until it runs out of oxygen. On to new savegame #3!

resuming the game should reset the character back onto the map, it has in every test so far, The terrain is still WIP but alot more stable than it has been in previous generations, Please be patient. Also was this under Windows 10 OS or Other? I only ask as Windows 10 has been throwing up alot of issues for the game.

Fall in to the ground
Hey there!

As i was mining the Promethium Ore from the closest mine to the Escape Capsule, i suddenly saw empty space (sky-like texture) beneath me and when i stop drilling and walked forward, i fell into the ground and kept on falling countinously.

Quit out and resume, you will be respawned on the surface.

Summary: I've had three occurences of terrain clipping. The first time I had dug a hole to put parts under the ship I was building. I turned around and went back to base, the hole disapeared but was still there I fell into it and asked my friend if he still saw it, he then landed in it (see attached screenshot). The second occurence my friend was parked on our landing pad and his ship fell through the base, through the planet and is between 600-800m below the surface, we have written the ship off :( The third and final occurence I was mining some magnesium with the drill and suddenly the ground texture vanished and I fell through the planet, exiting out and restarting the game fixed it and respawned me near my ship. I have also attached the data log for the game as we have had multiple internal errors in our 500+ minutes in this game so maybe something useful is in there for you guys.

Steps to Reproduce: #1 Dug a hole in sand, built a ship in it, flew away, hole disapeared, friend was able to land in it. #2 Base built even with lake, bottom of landing pad level with water. I have lost two vehicles to this bug. I placed my starter block and used the flattening tool because it was up on a slope. When I did, my starter block fell through the ground. This is the second one I lost like this. It was a bit game breaking because I'm out of materials to build another core. I am now attempting to get the escape pod to cooperate enough to get me across the map to search for more materials. I may need to start over though so I marked this as "severe". Couldn't think of anymore details to help with this bug. But it was definitely the flattening tool that did it.

Did you see the blocks fall through the terrain or did they disappear but the marker is still present. The flatten terrain and other tools are all ingame tools and not (as in some other games) a tool just for adjusting voxels, as such it will damage blocks if they are hit by the charges of the tool. the markers do not despawn currently so even when the blocks are damaged the marker for it will remain.

As for the other problem with a ship falling into the terrain this is an issue the Devs are looking into, its a desync issue to do with multiplayer and the terrain deformations I appologise on their behalf but rest assured its being worked on.

Reproducable? Unknown. So far has happened just once.

Minor since I was able to get out.

Built my first SV. Got everything on it...slowly raised off ground...got out and added landing gear which is not real easy...since the ship drops if you get out too high. But once I got the gear on I landed did a few things and came back out checking some stuff. Raised off ground again then decided I needed to go in and get something from my base. Droped with the C key to the ground and kept right on going. Now I am flying in inner space....I finally got oriented enough to the controls and what they meant...like range to nothing...but turns out that was to the ground...flew right on up and then through the ground...when I popped out I was sitting just above the surface and headed up and back to base. I did take a screen shot of the rectangular squares above me and some crosshatching as I got near but have no idea how to upload them to here. Anyway while it was annoying and scary...I got out.

Wow that was bad. I know the terrain is being updated and messed with all the time. Its not a regular occurence but it is a problem which is being worked on.

Severity: minor

Summary: Falling through world when leaving SV passenger seat

Description:The passenger seat seems to dump players out directly under the block, rather than in empty space next to the vehicle.

Either the vehicle is pushing them through the ground, or they are appearing in the world below the ground level.

Relog fixes the problem


Steps to Reproduce: Get out of my landed SV which the other players in my game have lovingly renamed "Deathtrap"

By friend is continually falling through the terrain on my hamchi hosted game. It is only him not me as the host.

It's running fine through direct IP, we just tried and now he's able to actually play. Think Hamachi was giving us the issue
