how can i host?? or just open a singleplayer world?

btw, cant play at the moment.. the update is just not working,m he is cheking the files and gets to 100% then goes back to 0% and starts again. for 30mins now

Need to setup port forwarding in your router and use your External IP, unless your on a lan. Lan use the Lan's ip address for the host machine.

yeah i know xD but how do i start a multiplayer world??? just a singleplayer world and then my friend connects?

As far as I am aware, you make the world as normal, he should enter your details, and it should connect, however even after port forwarding not everyone seems to be able to get it to work. I believe i saw somewhere that the devs are hoping to get steam multiplayer integration in shortly, but no timeframe given for it.

Start a new game or load an existing save then provide your IP to your friend.

Ive put in my friends i.p i cant connect there is no errors it just says connecting

Use Log Me In Hamachi. Make a new network on it. Give details to your friend( who also has hamachi installed) and get him to join the network. Now go into Empyrion and just join your single player game. Tell your friend to use the ip next to your name in the log me in hamachi client and leave the port 30000. He will now connect and you can play together.

I hope they do add something to make hosting and joining games painless as possible. Earlier than later- as it will go a long way for attracting more players. Some other games don't make it easy for online/coop play and is way too frustrating such as Starbound and Minecraft. Not everyone wants to have to install a third party program to achieve this.

Nothing worse than wanting to play with friends and they cannot connect.
