Empyrion - Galactic Survival

Empyrion - Galactic Survival

pve mods?
the base game seems really bland and short for PvE
are there any mods that add more tiers of enemies and challenges
reasons to make bigger better ships to play with friends?

Go filter for singleplayer scenarios in the Workshop. They're like total conversions, in that no merging of separate bits and pieces is allowed, so you subscribe to one and that is all you get. You can of course create your own private scenario, either from scratch as I did or copy a subscribed one and modify that. Multiplayer scenarios are intended for servers to use.

Reforged Eden comes to mind in the workshop, though its not the only one to choose from.

There's also Project Eden if you want more content without base gameplay changes, but its going to be discontinued soon.

+1 fpr Refprged Eden. Too many changes and too much extra content to list.
Project eden has more content than reforged eden?

Same content, more or less. Project Eden just retains the same basic gameplay and balance.

Reforged Eden changes and rebalances a lot of the base gameplay systems, like resource values, health and damage values, thruster physics, projectile physics, power draw, etc. Many of the more complex vanilla blueprints won't work out of the box in Reforged Eden, however they will work just fine in Project Eden.

Reforged Eden is actually a collaboration, the merger of two separate scenarios by different authors: Project Eden and Reforged Galaxy. PE offers changes to playfields and an alternative storyline that I've heard is more extensive, and RG offers substantial changes to game objects and behaviors (and new objects) and especially construction.

The combined maintenance toll for all three (against continued game development) is finally getting to be too much, and no doubt that explains why Project Eden is being phased out. It probably wouldn't happen if the game was now static, because there'd be no maintenance for game compatibility. I know firsthand what a PITA that maintenance is; I've been maintaining my own personal mod for 5 years, and while it doesn't have quite the scope of RE it's extensive enough.

That sounds like it can be frustrating

have you considered offering people to upload bug fixes?
