Zascosium and Erestrum?

Where do i find Zascosium and Erestrum? everytime i try and look nothing comes up in the info area do to i have not opened it yet

Depends on how much you need. You can deconstruct a laser rifle to get enough alloyed for a T1 CV shield. If you want to start milling out autominers or plasma turrets, though, you'll need to tangle with the missile defense BAs on the barren metal planet in the starter system.

Alternatively, sell a bunch of console deco blocks to the settlements on the snow planet (not the moon), and track down a mining station to buy ore from.

This is all in the Ellyon system, btw.

In the starter system try to run the POIs for laser cannons or straight ingot drops. Once you can warp in a CV, you can look to cold systems and planets for Erestrum and hot systems and planets for Zasc.

Where are you? If you press "M" while entering the planet, it will tell you what and how many deposits are on there. If you're in the Crown Sector, then I think the furthest planet out (Symos), which is a very hot planet has both. Setup up an Auto Miner and subscribe to the Auto-Miner mini base, by Movado, and you can teleport there and grab when you need.

If you can't Warp there yet, out past the Asteroid field is a POLARIS asteroid with a trader that will sell you both

I find enough Zascosium and Erestrum on the barren metal planets to build good mid CV with some left over on the planet. You will have to fight Z scum for it but the loot is extra benefits.

Planet wise you will need to leave the starter system, unless you intend to scavenge materials into the factory (laser rifles primarily).

Zacosium is generally found on very hot planets, typically lava worlds and similar types.

Erestrum is the opposite, its generally found on much colder worlds.

Both can be found as asteroids, but the sectors with either as available asteroids are usually pretty dangerous, so be prepared for trouble if you intend to mine there.

Actually you don't need to fight them if you are careful at playing cat and mouse. You do want a good mining SV though!

Early sources if you are using blueprints, are looting engines off wrecked CVs There are usually lots of wrecks. If you put a core in, you can grab the whole engine and get 100% of the loot how ever you need to deal with weight and volume (if on). Otherwise a t2 multi-tool will return the most material.

Hey the loot is worth it! The drone sometimes, more often than not, give to power cells.
I have tunneled my way to the resource with them none the wiser though. On the barren metal planets, some have a zirax security protecting them and with the way the crevasse are sometime it can be hard to get the right spot to take them out. I enjoy the challenge. :)

Oh and to Sabaithal, it is the barren planet in the Starter system I am mostly referring to. Plenty of both there with the setting on just normal.

Must have been changed in an update then. Last two games I had zero of either resource in the starter system, and I checked the barren too.

In my starter system (Ellyon), there is a barren metal planet named Symos. I just popped over there, and I see 17 erestrum deposits and 32 zascosium deposits. There is boatloads of those minerals there.

Might be the settings, did you have resources on the "rich" setting?

Nah, I never choose rich ore deposits. It's set to Normal.

If you are in "Na Alpha", then there are tons of E & Z there. In fact,, there are every resource in that star/planet system, and I believe the 1st planet from the Sun has everything on it, including several deposits of Gold.

Like I said, subscribe to Mavado's "Auto-Miner" mini base and set them up on every planet with Auto-Miners (preferably T3) and jump from your base to those miners and grab all you want when needed. once those Mavado teleporter auto miners are setup, you can jump from anywhere in the Universe to them

I often harvest Zascosium and Erestrum from auto miners on Moon Nascent of gaint gas planet.
Sometimes I buy Zascosium and Erestrum from NPC traders in Ellyon system or traders in Gas Refinery..
