I need help with sensors!
I want a ramp to open when I get close but stay open until I leave the area. The problem is when I leave the ramps STAY open? so when I come back they close which is not useful at all.
EDIT thanks guys I figured otu what the problem was. I had to tick the check box on the signal when looking at the rams signal logic. I have a fallow up question which is what exactly does the tick box do?

First thing that comes to mind is do you have them set to Follow with the Inv, Box highlighted(on) of your Motion sensor.

This is the only way I know to get them to Open/close.
I tried Toggle and the behavior was a s you describe.

I tried all the settings and it's still doing it. :(

You need to make sure the sensor area is set, so that when you enter or leave it acts accordingly.

yeah they are. I looked at some designs from the workshop that work how I want but the signal logic is a nightmare I really hope there is an easier way because they all seem to use a lot of advanced stuff that I don't even know what I m looking at. Anyone got a video I can watch?

It isn't that hard to make a signal operate that way. I do it all the time. When I get home I will look into a screenshot so you can see what to do.

ok.
Set bounding box for sensor and set to follow.
I do this all the time, definately works.
Try this video, might help if it's not obsolete:

Try using SR latch. You will need two sensors. From what you’ve said I would suggest a motion sensor and a light barrier. Set the motion sensor as you normally would. Set under signal logic as the ‘S’ gate. Set the light barrier at a point where you would want the ramp to close (entrance to SV?) set this signal as ‘R’. When you activate the ‘s’ parameter. The ramp will open and remain so regardless of weather or not you are in area until the ‘R’ parameter is activated. At which point the ramp will close until the ‘S’ parameter is activated.
