That's gonna change PvP alot. The CV to CV docking was removed because of that exploit, I can't believe they added it back in.
I read through all the patch notes since then and there was no mention of any changes to docking. Maybe it only work in survival.
reboot the game and try again
I don't know what will happened if you rebuild 2 CV
2. the docking block must be on the extremety of the bounding rectangle/hitbox. In other words if you have a deco block that point outwards past the landing gear, the gear will often not make contact.
Once you dock to a ship you are the slave to it and it can move you. The parent ship can have ships docked; I roll with a parent CV with two SV's one HV and three CV's attached for extra storage.
Because you see Capitol ships in Sci-fi dock together via docking tubes more often than not pretty frequently.
It is like this already; turrets won't fire from docked vehicles.
