DOOM

The dude that butchered the old doom music with dubstep should be fired.
The dude that butchered the old doom music with dubstep trash should be fired.

It sounds like he sent the old heavy metal doom music through a whoopie cushion noise machine and out pumped this new garbage soundtrack.

Or at least forced to listen to the old doom music while being beaten so he knows what it sounds like and learns his lesson on ruining classic music.

and the artist plays too much halo and they should be beaten while looking at the cover of the old doom.

I kinda like the version that plays when you finish a stage, but yeah the soundtrack overall is a little too dub-ish for my tastes.

Honestly ID didn't have a descent soundtrack until Quake 2.

I liked it - I am sure there is something in there for newer players and that's fine, but for me there is an element of NiN-ness to it which is in keeping with it being an id heritage game with its roots in the 90s.

For the generation that grew up with Doom and Quake, not being hairmetal isn't always so bad.

The early ID Software team had a bunch of Nine Inch Nails fans that's why there was always a mix of metal/techno music. Quake 2's soundtrack was done by a band called Sonic Mayhem and is probably the most 'metal'; it's my personal favourite.

Honestly ever since the game came out I just can't stop listening to the soundtrack. It's just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aggressive and musically interesting, sometimes even experimental, Mick Gordon did an excellent job.

Anyway fans who don't like the electro stuff here will appreciate this:

Not a band, a music production firm.

They worked drawing inspiration from the Robb Zombie title track Quad Machine.

Sonic Mayhem also did the stock loop filled soundtrack for Quake III.

That being said, Quake and Quake II had awesome sound tracks, with metal and electronic mixed.

The natural evolution of electronic and NiN-like sounds have led us to dubstep, and hybridizing that with metal makes sense for Doom (2016).

Yeah... um I don't think you know what dubstep really is. This ain't it.

i think hes just trolling but dubstep music set to 135-145 typicaly 140 bpm main features includ a wobble or wob wob bass made by passing sound waves through a low pass filter (cuts the high end of the sound) and link it to a lfo (low freqencey ossolator) basicly if the frequencey is 1/4 the lfo will open and close at quater notes
drums are set to a half time beat with a faster hight endwith the high hats being played at a mixture of 8th and 16th notes depending on what you want kinda imagine a dirty soouth/trap or even soldier boi song.
snares and claps tend to be on beat 3 with varied amounts of reveb to give it the big long tail
dubstep used to sound all dark. ahh screw it i cba to right any more on coz any one who dont know about playing a instrument or music producton might not get it.

but if you listen to doom 2016 sound traack i dont tink there is a song that is typicaly dubstep maybe there is but i dont care i like it i think korn did a dubstep album and theyr some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up metal hybird (♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in a good way) if you dont like it put dooms original sound track on itunes and listen to it and turn musics volum off sorry for the spelling mistakes guys :) peace out :)

I'm a fan of Halo. I own all the Halo sound tracks. There isn't really any dub step in it. I really enjoy listening to heavy metal, orchestra, opra, techno, industrial step. And my all time new fav Doom 2016 sound track. You must be the type that listens to country or rap.
