What's with the sound?!
When I first bought this game I only got 5.1 surround with my driver set for 96,000Hz. That was no problem as i prefer 96,000Hz for all my sound. At that time 48,000Hz only produced stereo.

Now 48,000Hz produces 5.1 surround, but when I try to play in 96,000Hz the sound is a garbled, inaudible mess!!!

This means I have to change my driver to 48,000Hz before playing the game, then switch it back to 96,000Hz after, for all my other games and movies.

Please fix 96,000Hz in the next update.

You sure the source is in 96K and not 48K or 44100K?

I've got a Xonar ST and DT 990 ♥♥ with no issues here on 5.1 and dolby logic. (DTs are cans of course)

Thanks for the reply.

I have 96,000Hz set in Windows
"Audio/Playback Devices/Speakers (Sound Blaster Zx)/Properties/Advanced/24bit, 96,000Hz (Studio Quality)"

Doom only has volume sliders in it's Audio Options.

I always got 5.1 on 96,000Hz and 48,000 did not give 5.1 back when I bought the game some time ago. That was no issue as I prefer 96,000Hz.

Now 96,000Hz has been mangled so badly even dental records are useless

Before with my system set to 96,000Hz Doom Sounded awesome. Now on 96,000 it sounds like all of my speakers and sub are blown.

This is only happening on Doom. Other games (except Bioshock remasters) and my movies sound great at 96,000Hz.

The last update was the straw that broke 96,000Hz's back on my system. Before that update sound was great at 96,0000Hz

Bioshock 1 and 2 remaster are the only other games on my system that hate 96,000hz and the garbling sounds the same too.

It would be great if I can just set my samplerate in windows and not have to keep changing it because of a Doom can't handle 96,000hz anymore (and Bioshock remasterd never could)
