also you could check online if there are any places where you can find some, i could imagine that there are some spots with some to find....
so to sum in up, use 2 hourse during non-time-essential quests to get enough saviuor schnapps to not have to worry for a while, and later in the game you can buy enough by just trading in some loot from enemies..
with = you must always have 1 savior schnapps in your inventory in order to save any time and any where you want, outside of combat and dialog and cutscenes. -it never gets consumed unless you use it with food.
without = you don't need savior schnapps period, you can save anywhere, anytime outside of combat, cutscenes and dialog.
I use schanpps version.

So instead of a useful mod that allows saving at any time like almost any game ever..you are suggesting to quit and restart the game? Great advice.
That's not what he's suggesting. If you want to save and quit the game, you can do so without using a shnapps. When you enter the menu with ESC you press "Save & Exit" instead of just "Exit". When you start the game up again and press "Continue" that's where you will start. No schnapps needed for that.
Edit: But it won't be a save you can go back to. The save will be gone once you press "Continue", it's a temporary save, so to speak.
