Any reason to spare enemies?
Just been killing them, but is here any benefits to letting them run? Maybe a reputation increase?

RPG = "role play" game. Say it with me: R-O-L-E P-L-A-Y. Role play. Game.

Well actually, in theory if you don't kill him he should be alive somewhere in the world, and in my experince they tend to come back to do the same criminal work they did before.

If true then if you mug them for money you could find them again and do the same thing over and over as a source of gold/combat training for XP.

I never spare any enemy and i never do mercy kills as well. I like to see them moaning and rolling on the ground

AFAIK they don't respawn, although I have seen a knight who I know respawned so maybe I'm wrong. But if you clear a camp I think that's it.

There's always random encounters and those do repeat, so you won't run out of enemies to fight.

the npc respawns. You can murder who ever that is not in the main quest and they will respawn with one exception and that is johanka at the monestary, she does not respawn at all. i found that after waiting in jail for 10 days everything is back to normal. except johanka. tested this on most villages.

No real reason to spare them unless your in need of groschen. It bugs me that they surrender though when their friends are still fighting, and then they run off.

Eh, not so sure about that one. Killed the guard in the Rattay alchemy shop. He has not respawned. Been at least a week in game time.
That shop keep has got to have brain damage from being knocked out so many times. Trader knocked out and the store is ransacked. Trader wakes and restocks the displays. Rinse and repeat till the horse is full.

Huh? You said the NPCs not part of the main line will repsawn. Gave you an example of one that doesn't. So try what exactly? Didn't say you lied. Saying you are incorrect in your assumption.

Yea enemies in the world respawn. You'll even start to notice exactly what spots they spawn in at. There are common "ambush" points that enemies will use over and over, while other times beggars or wandering knights will spawn there instead.
