Code vein is trash. I played and finished it as well. Not a good souls.
If you want a sci-fi soulslike thats actually good, try Hellpoint. Not only is it moderately easy once you get used to it, its got one of the best sci-fi stories in the genre.
I would say it's generally not good to start with, because of how generally hard it is. It might have best consistent difficulty curve of the genre, but I'll doubt you'd appreciate that before you bounce off it because you can hardly make progress.
Play Hellpoint or the Jedi games first, I consider The Surge a must play, just after you have some experience.
A souls to start with is Demon souls, you get used to the gameplay and then you go to the normal souls, Sekiro, nioh Nier, and I honestly don't recommend this one. The bosses were very easy and obviously I didn't use any guides for them.
You clearly have below average ability to navigate through new locations, I wouldn't put your personal debilitation as a warning to others.
No, I have a long, long history with these games and I believe that this game has double difficulty, orientation and not indicating where to go, and also difficulty of the enemies, if you have never played a souls (which for me seems not to be ) I think I should start first with something that can be better oriented. I would have liked to start with Demon Souls to learn how to fight and then Ds1. In my other post you were kind, now you talk about my weakness? hehe it's true I don't have my bearings well, but I have my daughters and I work, I can't dedicate to Surge what it requires. I have overcome games that only 0.5% have been able to (Darkest dungeon Sekiro, Sigrun) I don't think I am weak in these games, but with a newborn it is not easy. I don't get angry or anything, especially because one is already very old.
Respecto for Rad... or Mal (no spoils).. Oh my god... I suffered a lot
