I don't plan any update myself, no. I had in mind to give a motivation impulse to modding. I hope someone else will take over and make a proper Kuja mod. I added documentation on how to do things (that would take some work thus the need of motivation) and, as always, I'm fairly available for answering questions.
I've modded other games such as the Witcher III or Dragon Quest XI https://www.youtube.com/user/euyenioXx/featured . Also some experience in using Cheat Engine. Therefore, I've got the motivation to mod this game but not the experience; so I need to learn. Gonna start scanning that documentation folder you mentioned before. Thanks for your answer :).
EDIT: Got it! Now trying some modding by myself :)
Is there any way to contact you? I've some questions that maybe you could easily answer. I've edited all animations the way I wanted; however, I would like to know if you know any way to prevent Kuja from moving forward/backward everytime he casts a offensive spell or when he attacks. Maybe using Hadesworkshop or whatever.
This guy has serious issues with how video game characters dress.
Tirli, how do I get that game engine recreation working with FF9 PC and Memoria?
If I recall correctly, I only created one animation for him, that didn't exist before: his "running" animation (that is played when you try to flee) and that I based of Garnet's running animation.
The same kind of problem, even worse, happens for his model when moving on the field; Kuja doesn't have animations like "pick up a chest" or "climb a ladder", so there'll be awkward things going on with his model in these situations.
Mainly, the point of the mod was to:
1) Show that something like this is possible using Memoria's features,
2) Document how to do it if someone wants to make a full-fledged Kuja mod or a mod using another NPC as a player character,
3) Have a non-serious fun mod.
I didn't bother changing his abilities to anything different than the character he replaces (Zidane) because that was not really the point of the mod. You can give him different abilities by changing the "Skill" command, which can be done by creating a custom file "PlayAsKuja/StreamingAssets/Data/Characters/Commands.csv" based of the default command datas "StreamingAssets/Data/Characters/Commands.csv" (you can also use my tool Hades Workshop, that does the same thing but with an interface).
@Charizard 2076: I don't understand your question. This mod doesn't contain any "game engine recreation". The modifications that are done to the game engine are done by the Memoria Engine mod, not this one. Thus you cannot use this mod if you don't have FF9 PC and Memoria already installed.
Memoria can be installed and/or updated by running a Memoria.Patcher.exe found on Github[github.com]. This is the place where you can find the most up-to-date version.
