Hades Workshop - Modding tool
Hi there.

I finally made my tool compatible with the Steam version. At first glance, it is so simple to use that there's no point of writing a tuto about how to use it.

Download it here[www.hiveworkshop.com]

At a second glance, the tool is so big that a complete tuto would never fit inside this thread :steammocking:

You may join the FF Steam Modding Community forum if you're interested. It's more adapted to discuss of mods there :p

If you want to help the project[forums.qhimm.com], you can ^^

I sometimes forget to update the link of this post. The latest version is always available here :

As said, Tirlititi, add that animation to preloading or use SetStandAnim with that jump animation, but not the SetStandAnim within the Function_Init.
Oh! THank you :D I understand now and it work. Its hard to catch the subtility of english when its not your native language lol

Would you help a newbie? I need the firsts steps for it, like in which folder extract the files, and how make it run.
I guess after that, the rest will make sense for me -or at least hope so.
Thank you in advance!

The files in HadesWorkshop.zip ?
Just extract them anywhere you want (like in a folder "Hades Workshop" on your desktop) and run HadesWorkshop.exe.

Thanks for your quick answer! I need a bit more of your patience

I tried to launch it and showed a message about missing files, msvcp140.dll and vcruntime140.dll. I got them, addem to the folder and now there's a 0xc000007b error.
I tried like 15 internet solutions but none worked so far -and none has shown my problem in this forums.
Do you have idea how to solve it? I'm trying to run it into aW10 x64bits
Thnks in advance, I'm really anxious to play it with your tool!

Someone else had a similar problem... and had it fixed without clear reason (it worked on another computer). I don't know what it is, except that these "msvcp" and "vcruntime" DLLs have plenty of different versions on the web and it's really a mess (I mean, there are several versions like "msvcp140.dll", "msvcp150.dll" etc. but also several versions of the exact "msvcp140.dll").

You can try an older version of the tool there[www.dropbox.com].

Update: Thanks for the links! Versions from 37 and older, launches without problems, so if someone has the same problem, should try those.

BUT (there's always a one...) the Workshop doesn't open the .bin files. It says that is not a .bin or closes itself without warning or message during the scan.

Should i try ever single .bin with the 4 versions of HW that launches to see if eventually works? Or this might be some already known issue with a solution?
I tried at least the first 7 .bin with every working HW without results...

Thank you so much for your patience -i'm launching a streaming channel and i wanted to start with this and due credits!

Btw, is running in a windows 10 64 bits

Editing the Steam version of the game is done by opening the file "FF9_Launcher.exe". Trying to select the "p0dataX.bin" files is an error (in the latest version, it doesn't try to scan it but prompt the problem instead).

The .bin files that can be opened directly by HW are the PSX iso images, when modifying the emulated PSX version.

this is my first time trying to use a randomizer on a game and I have no idea what i'm doing.. I have downloaded the Hades Workshop, but when I go to file and open, there isn't a game file and 'FF9_Launcher.exe' to click. can anyone help me out?
Tirlititi May 7, 2021 @ 7:33am
FF9_Launcher.exe is located in your Steam's game folder. It usually is something like that:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY IX

Alternatively, you can see where is your game folder in case it is different by going to your Steam library, then "Final Fantasy IX -> right click -> Manage -> Browse local files".

Last question: for step 5, how do i replace the normal steam files with the mod i made?
Tirlititi May 7, 2021 @ 8:32am
I don't know of which "step 5" you're talking about, but when you go to "File -> Save Steam Mod", you have basically the choices between:
- "Unity Archive" + "Compiled DLL" -> This will generate files with the same names as game files and that can replace them directly (eg. "HadesWorkshopMod/StreamingAssets/p0data7.bin" should replace the file "StreamingAssets/p0data7.bin" that is present in your game's folder).
- "Raw assets" + "Spreadsheets (Memoria)" -> This will generate a mod folder that can simply be registered in "[Mod] FolderNames" of the file "Memoria.ini" in your game's folder, provided that you have Memoria installed.

I have downloaded Memoria, and have made a mod in Hades Workshop. But I have no idea where Memoria.ini is..
