garnet's white mage robe
out of curiosity is there any possible way to mod the game so garnet can keep her white mage robe she has on at the beginning when she tries to run off with zidane and the crew? from my uninformed mind's POV it seems like an easy task to accomplish but idk if its ever been done or how easilt it could be done

If you have a version of Memoria Engine modifier[github.com] that is recent enough (I think that the version used by the current Moguri mod is not recent enough), you can create a file "FINAL FANTASY IX/GarnetWhiteMage/DictionaryPatch.txt" and add the following lines in that DictionaryPatch file:

And then you register the mod in Memoria.ini: in the section "[Mod] FolderNames", register "GarnetWhiteMage". The line could look like that:

while i very much appreciate the help i must also apologize as i neglected to specify in the OP that i was looking moreso for something to change her in battle sprite

do note i did check it out regardless and it does seem to work with the current version of moguri and the field sprite changes just fine, tho it did bork my game temporarily as i was playing the david bowie edition mod and adding this seemed to soft disable the mod's gameplay changes until i removed the custom folder for the white mage robe in which my game was back to as it was before adding the folder

She never uses her White Mage outfit in battle and thus has no animation for that. It would require way more work to do that (creating battle animations or at least adapting existing ones to her White Mage model).

One needs to do a work similar to what I started there for Kuja.

fair enough........... and i only just now noticed that u were the creator of alternate fantasy............ loved that mod when i played it btw
