PLEASE HELP WONT LAUNCH

If I attempt to run it from steam nothing happens at all.

If I try to run it from the folders within the SteamApps I get a loop
1) launcher choosing the size and window
after choosing any setting
2)It starts as a white screen which says FINAL FANTASY IX (not responding) in the window
it then goes to a pop up which says
3)"allow game launch?"
"FINAL FANTASY IX is attempting to launch with the optional parameters shown below
"-runbylauncher -single-instance -screen-width 1360 -screen-height 768 -screen-fullscreen 0 "

If you did not request this launch or do not understand these options, select Cancel.
then OK or CANCEL buttons
selecting OK has the same effect as CANCEL

I have windows 10 pro 64 bit
16 gb of ram
intel i5
direct x version 12
AMD Radeon RX480
I would love to know why it only shows a white screen
This is a new install

when I try to launch from a run as admin steam it simply does a running... syncing and then nothing

Disable 3rd party like discord, Skype, Fraps etc...
Did you tried validating your steam files as well?

I have this same problem as well. I have not been able to figure it out and get the game running. any advice would be helpful

I had the same issue with some of my Final Fantasy games a month ago, try reinstalling your Microsoft visual c++ redistributables for both 32 bit and 64 bit (vc_redist.x64.exe
vc_redist.x86.exe), mine had an issue with the 32 bit information and had been halting the games.
Edit: I'm not sure which one was supposed to go with this game if it was 2012 or 2013 but I know you can download and reinstall them from Microsoft's website.

I have found something of a fix.
while searching posts online, I found a discussion and they mentioned a fix and gave a link to a steam website. (website and the download link at bottom).

It's a different FF9 launcher. you have to go into your steam files for ff9 and replace the launcher with this, but it seems to work. First time I've been able to play it in about a year.

It's still prone to bugging out every few hours (nothing permanent) and I find that I have to click "play" twice to get it to run, but it works.
