The game runs completely fine without mods. If you take that as being called a liar, that's on you and your feelings.
The irony.
Sure you have to spend some time, like 15 minutes, to set up the base mods if you really want just a vanilla+ experience but even if you are going to spend a day or even two modding you will play the game for months with the mods you installed and it's gonna be more faithful to the original fallouts and more immersive than the vanilla game so I don't get why people prefer to play vanilla and even brag about it...
In the end this update was an insult to the fanbase, lazy work and damage to the modding community with nothig of real value added, don't even try to defend Bethesda
Immagine having such distain for people that like to play games vanilla in 2025 bruv, I don't understand people that hate people that play vanilla so much they actually got to say something about it, like do you guys even code. Sure I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinions with their pinking out guyz. You guyz must hate youselfz. Anywayz....
I have never seen a person brag about playing vanilla. The only time I've seen a person exclaim they played strictly vanilla, are the times they have to because someone tells them the reason the game they are playing is messing up is because the mods they may be using. Which seems to be the go to excuse everyone wants to throw out. So I don't get what you're even talking about. tdlr weird flex
I've seen some discussions in this chat about it, I played this game vanilla at first, then a simple vanilla+ to avoid bugs and annoiances from the base game and it felt like I was in hell before, then I started modding hard and the game started to feel like it's all I ever wished from the game.
I like modding but I understant it can be demanding but to not play with Community Patches, Optimization, QoL plus maybe some minor mods for immersion, graphics, hud or realism, based on preference, it's such a shame but to be fair: those few mods should be vanilla
