There is no more grass in the commonwealth!

I did a fresh install of the game and the issue has not been fixed. any idea what could be the issue?

Well, it could be that a mod changed settings in your Fallout4.ini file. A fresh install won't help with that, what you need to do is delete the "Documents\My Games\Fallout4" folder. The game will make a new one with default settings the next time you start the game.

You probably changed the "togglegrass" or grass visibility option in your ini... in game the console command is tg - which is very, very easily typed instead of 'tgm' which is godmode.

It's one of the things I do every time I have to reinstall, because searching for things under all that garbage grass is a pain. Sure my landscapes look a lot barer than they ought but eh. I'd rather find things.

If you're using a mod like LG suggests you should figure that out.
