2. Starfield does not need saving.
Bethesda has an issue with their fanbase, at least 30% of their fan base sits around the Bethesda forum communities trashing Bethesda at any chance they get. Yet this same 30% are always first in line to get the new Bethesda game when it comes out.
How do I know? I see the same people trashing Skyrim, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, and Starfield and they own all those games.
But there certainly are people whose overall conclusion seems to be that something is a bad game, while still playing it, which suggests that they like bad games (possibly for being entertaining), are masochists, are lying to themselves, or are possibly addicted in some way. Or I suppose they could be at the bottom of a well somewhere with an unstable psychopath forcing them to play games "or else they'll get the hose again".
If you weren't so interested in arguing every point and attacking me, this wouldn't need to be explained.
Exactly. Which explains the often dramatic difference between Metacritic user reviews and the commercial reviewers. The developers are all in bed with the gaming press, and they all work together to push their shared interests which have very little to do with actual product quality.
You can always tell the crappy game du jour because the gaming press will put all these gold stars from 27 game reviewers nobody ever heard of in the advertisement.
They both need there to be mass quantities of games sold, but it's not necessary for them to be anything but the minimum viable product. That maximizes everyone's profits. So they work together to create an environment where consumption can be maintained through manipulation and deception, while quality steadily declines and content is replaced with faddish propaganda, sexualization, or both.
Someone in Bethesda has convinced themselves that the longevity of a game is guaranteed with radiant quests, according to their theory recovering a miner in a cave and bringing him back to the NPC (all just created by ProcGen) is the solution for longevity.
I am not at all against the creation of worlds with ProcGen but then the developers must guarantee valid content, with missions that are activated via scripts, written by humans, perhaps with puzzles to solve, elaborate paths.
The longevity of Fallout 4 was guaranteed by the building of settlements, in Starfield not even that worked, while they did a great job for spaceships.
I think Fallout 5 and TES 6 will be fine, as Bethesda generally know what they're doing here.
Starfield was an aberration due to the combined issues of proc gen limitations and the Creation Engine not being able to cope with what they were trying to do.
The real question is whether any of us will be alive to play FO5 given Bethesda have three franchises on the go, and considering how long it takes them to produce a game. I expect FO5 might take perhaps 10-15 years to release, so I'm not sure I'd concern myself with this right now :)
I assume we find out if they corrected their mistakes in 2026 Witcher 4 / Elder Scrolls 6. CD Project and Bethesda competing for those game investor's funds. The best games are from a studio that didn't even have stocks. Baldur's Gate 3 was just a well-made game.
But yes Fallout 5 got the funding regardless of what happens with Elder Scrolls 6. Anything after that who knows Bethesda might go broke and Todd Howard steps down.

I am definitely convinced, or it is obvious, that GAMESTAR magazine has completely killed the gaming industry in Germany, with that.

Because of this almost suicide he gave up, left the gaming industry, the Mannierists won, and continued with the OLD reputation and did something like Risen3 or Elex2.
While Gamestar always gave us the feeling that Piranha Bytes would do something like "Gothic2 2002" again.

Basically, as an actor you should never talk about the idea that a computer game character you are acting, is a better or more attractive or stronger version of yourself.
Computer games are for actors, obviously exactly the opposite of favorite films (example: queer Ian McKellen, as Gandalf in the films).
But I don't follow the English-language magazines at all, I don't know what influence they personally have on studios...
