I have gone through my email and it does show purchases made through steam on other things that are not listed in my "purchase history" on the steam app.
and no, I didn't say these things happened all at once, I said I've ignored those things as they didn't effect me playing the games, and that is the actual purpose of having steam app in the first place.
missing games entirely is a problem tho.
but as the original post stated, I'm just looking for how to contact steam so THEM AND I can sort it out. ya know... the people with the actual history connected with my CC/email.
Ironically, you taking the time to post how you don't care shows you do care.
You came here looking for validation, not steam support. If you were looking for steam support a simple google search would have revealed several threads of people asking for steam contact info.
you say you can find it so easily, then please do so and share it as I spent a couple of hours trying to self fix it before coming into this forum.
This is pebcak.
Dude, they will, if support even talks to you, tell you *exactly the same thing we have told you*.
You are on the wrong account.
missed it, thank you for pointing it out.
not even sure what "pebcak" even is. but all the things people have told me to do, Ive already done from the google searches. next step was directly contacting them. which is now done. thanks.
He is saying the problem is you. Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard. Pebcak.
If you really have a CD/DVD from FO4 you can test this if you try to add this serial number to your steam account . If it is not on this account you will get a message about it.
2. Make shure that you did not simple hide it in your settings for you library
They're on the wrong account.
My vote goes to wrong account. However, it is possible ("When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." - Sir AC Doyle) that the account user had asked STEAM to permanently delete the game from their account - you can do that. Still, to do that, you need to contact STEAM, something the OP didn't know how to do. Maybe he can do it when he's sleepwalking, or in a hynoptic fugue, or under the influence of intoxicants. Or maybe someone logged into his account and with great malice deleted an eight-year-old game.
What I find funny is that in a few days he could just re-buy the whole thing for the price of a Big Mac.
Everything they've said leads to the conclusion of a wrong account. "Missing" posts and threads? "No play time"? "not on account history?"
... That's just literally the wrong account.
It's SUPER easy to do, given the volume of times I've seen this happen - with exactly the same vehemence in denial.
OP it's okay. This literally happens all the time. You'll get it sorted, and you'll get your game "back". Along with the other "missing" games, and your "missing" post history.
Worth noting is it isn't against steam rules to have multiple accounts either, so if that is what he is afraid of he has no reason to be. Certain Steam games, including Valve made ones, individually ban multiple accounts (like DOTA) but Steam itself allows it on the broader scale.
