Can Maximus and Lucy's Relationship Be Considered Woke?

I personally think it flows extremely well into the narrative. Both characters are acted well and fits into the lore perfectly.

I have seen some complaints on the diverse choice of character though. Surely this is simply a casting choice and there are no hidden messages behind these choices.

Unlike the inclusion of Dane (the he/girl) which is just blatant political pandering in my opinion. They really couldn't help themselves but to put in a transgender character into the wasteland.

Also the "pop my pimple" scene felt forced. She basically got graped by a raider, which undeniably would have gave her some kind of VD, unless Stimpacks cure that too. And now she barely meet this dude and she just asks him to have sex with her? Unlikely. This isn't current year loosey goosey girls, she grew up in a vault.

I mean, it's not like the majority of new SERIES, MOVIES, Netflix etc have got that kind of relationship in pushed, it's not artificial at all and forced, it's natural character development, it's not by any chance pandering or a political movement and there's no pattern it's just coincidences.

It is about as woke as it can get for a show that hasn't broached the subject of race as it applies to the real world.

Some people, mostly social media addicts, do have a tendency to take a theory and don't attempt to separate it from fact just because the truth doesn't captivate their imagination as easily. That is unavoidable.

Can't imagine having sex after everyone I ever knew was assaulted, most killed. I was graped by a raider that probably gave me VD and possibly made me prego. Almost died defending myself. My dad was kidnapped. Decided to leave the only home I know because no one wants to do anything. Find nothing but death on the surface, almost die to a ghoul going on a murder spree in the first town I visit. Meet a dude in power armor, he was cool. Had to saw the first nice human I ran into head off on the possibility of it being used to trade for my dads life. Get used as bait for a giant salamander while being dipped into radioactive water. Drank radioactive water out of desperation. Almost had my organs harvested by a robot and killed by a feral ghoul. Save knight dudes life and he saved mine by giving me radx. We drop into a vault together...
