She is a girl in a military outfit.
You expected long curly hair?
How would that fit in a power armor?
Short hair for girls or long hair for boys doesn't change gender.
If you think so, please go to a heavy metal festival and tell them.
I shall be at the back, watching it happen while eating popcorn.
Never understood the whole woke anti-woke stuff anyway.
Call me old-fashioned but climate, economy, healthcare, education, and several wars on this planet seem a lot more important then whether or not someone complies to the cultural standards of random individuals.
If someone is gay, so what?
You are transgender?
Fine.
Don't get me started on mixed race nonsense.
We're all humans.
Live and let live be who you want to be.
As an archaeologist I can promise you your skeleton shall be bèige and categorized as male/female/child anyway ;-)
And also, no one cares about Dane being that way, because with her they never make a big deal about it, it isn't shoved down our throats.
The way Maximus is written is obnoxious, he's like a 16 year old child in a man's body. I wouldn't call it 'woke' but its certainly bad characterization.
It was not too woke. it was still okay at least for me. And i think the Fallout universe's 1950's there was no racism and all that, so it does feel a bit more natural seeing something like that.
there is literally nothing in fallout that would lead you to that conclusion
On a...well agreeable but more serious tone, the game does explore themes of racism, love, relationships, gender, gender roles etc but it does that immersively. Women and men, most anything else is not hindered statistically based on gender or anything, it's the players agency in their environment, what they experience and how they're treated that gets explored by the player. I like that and it's apparently woke so eh!
And aside in that envrionment you have characters that break, or make, the mold affecting our experience too. You have your dainty ladies but you also have your waste walking legendary amazon jet heads (not just in 4) your elderly mutants actualzing and being able to respect that, or not, for example.
I don't think the offense is the "mixed relationships" but the lack of diversity in such relationships. It always ends up being the same harmful stereotypical tropes.
I don't think that's ever been the problem. The problem is when other people don't feel like identify us as how we identify ourselves.
Well, it makes sense if you are one of the last hundred humans left, survival kinda has to take precedence over equity.
