Can Maximus and Lucy's Relationship Be Considered Woke?

I personally think it flows extremely well into the narrative. Both characters are acted well and fits into the lore perfectly.

I have seen some complaints on the diverse choice of character though. Surely this is simply a casting choice and there are no hidden messages behind these choices.

Unlike the inclusion of Dane (the he/girl) which is just blatant political pandering in my opinion. They really couldn't help themselves but to put in a transgender character into the wasteland.

I really wanted Maximus to fell in love with Dane, a progressive modern couple, such a wasted opportunity, lucy was too predictable, Dane should have been Max's lover.

The story and setting of fallout doesn't really allow for "mixed relationships" wouldn't you agree? Just hoping they won't pull what the Witcher did and destroy the show.

It 100% does you can even do same sex romance with GHOULS in the game lol Just because you avoided all the same sex options, and ignored the interracial stuff in games don't mean anything you said just made any sense lol.

Nah brotherhood pair up and marry all the time, just they have to make it past aspirant recruits first lol Dane is a herm has both parts they would allow Dane to date and marry either gender in all honesty lol

I mean come on in NV Veronica was born and raised in the Brotherhood a lot of them were before they lifted restriction on recruitment. If you actually played damn games you would know the basics lol

I mean ♥♥♥♥ I bet Dane tested highest on knowledge of tech while Maximus thought a circuit was a rotor...

And that is one the bigest things scribes do for BOS they don't stand there and be tokens they job is literally to access valuable tech, and strip it down or make notes and record for later excursions to secure or destroy it if they feel they can't take it all.

To me the relationship between the 2 feels off. Lucy is a vault dweller (Prime Human), Maximus is a wasteland (mutie). if i am not mistaken, vaultdwellers and enclave and some BoS ( the descendants of the original BoS) dont like wastelanders because they are not like prime humans. Wastelanders had their code messed up by FEV and radiation. Thats why the EDEN serum hurts wastelanders and not humans from pre war stock. It was odd to see Lucy fall for him after she went through all that struggle in the beginning. No idea about the woke stuff ppl keep mentioning though. Maybe they just say it cuz its amazon and they do have a nasty tendency to do woke stuff. The world of fallout is meant to be very dark. I hope the show keeps that same gritty post apocalyptic world fallout is so well known for.

The fallout universe is set in the 1950s era despite the bombs falling in 2077.

You can see this reflected by all the analog tech.

So im pretty sure they would have an issue with that mix

Don't get me wrong, I don't care if there is a transgender actor in the T.V. series as long as they play their role in an entertainment platform.

Yes some women I've seen do have facial hair at least back when I was in highschool.

If I wanted something done "politically" I won't be sitting my ass in this chair pointing out my political views and/or twisted narratives to make me feel special. I go out there and make a difference POLITICALLY.
