Achievements not unlocking

What is happening All of my achievements are hidden and are not unlocking..

You can download a mod to re-enable achievements if you want to use mods and still progress unlocking them.

Man I just bought the game today played for 9 hours and was confused why I didnt unlock any achievements. I checked the achievements online and was confused when I found out I didnt even get any story related achivs, they just seem bugged and I dont know how to fix them. I never used cheats what?

Are you sure you don't have any mods installed? Either from an outside source like Nexus Mods or via the in-game "Mods" option in the main menu?

I'm not saying it's impossible for the game to bug out, especially a Bethesda game, but 9 times out of 10 the problem is user error.

Also, make sure you're launching the game properly so the Steam overlay is working when you get in-game. If Steam isn't running alongside the game and monitoring it, achievements obviously won't unlock.

I checked, I have no mods, I literally just bought the game after watching the show :( I dont use any other mods on any games or anything. Ill keep trying to find a fix..

Is there a big M next to the name of your save file? That indicates mods are being used, and achievements will be disabled.

Since you listed cheats separately from mods, I have to assume you mean console commands. Console commands do not, and never have, blocked achievements for any Bethesda Fallout or Elder Scrolls game. Using console commands does temporarily disable achievements in New Vegas, but restarting the game lets you get achievements again even on a save file where they were blocked before. Its only a temporary disable of achievements.

I asked the same question on reddit hopping for a fix, I wonder if the game counts certain markers so if this is fixed somehow I get the achievements. I didn't even recieve the enter the wasteland achievement

Sometimes Steam achievements are delayed, I'd suggest restarting Steam.

I logged out of steam and logged back in and now they are working lol. Didn't get the achievements I should have so I started a new game...sad.

If they worked when you loaded steam back up, there's no reason to start something new, though. This happens with many games on steam that have achievements. Sometimes they don't show up immediately on your list. It's not super important, given if you want to use mods, unless you also include the mod that reverts it, you won't earn any achievements anyway.

HAHAHAH, I had to start a new It did't count reaching lvl 5-10 and the initial story mission achievements, my first achievement was getting blown up by a super mutant suicide bomber haahah.

If you are playing with mods then know that some mods will disable it. There is however Buffout 4, which enables achievements while using mods:

I used mods in the past and know they affected the achievements. I now did a clean reinstall on a completely new PC and no achievements are working.

if you didn't start a new game as well, the save file will be marked as modded and not eligible for achievements, unless you use one of the achievement enabler mods

Well glad to know that it’s my mods taht disabled achievement-I use race mods to change the appearance of npcs and the player model

same here, just finished this game n noticed i haven't received many achievements which i should have got earlier completing story missions, n i never use mods., seems those achievements are all bugged, have u found any fix ??

Your last achievements were from about 4 days ago, display a weapon and something.

i am never offline when i play games, ya i got those few days ago, mostly i haven't got any achievements which are hidden ones !! its probably bug.
