HELPP!!
I have a amd graphics card and this game has never been a issue until recently, I have no mods installed and have deleted and reinstalled the game, ive ran it in windowed and full screen on all different settings. Every time i open the launcher and press play the game instantly crashes and closes. Before I deleted the game Id press play and it would give a black screen then stop responding, now it doesn't even show a screen and just closes. I updated drivers and direct x what can I do?

On W11 enabled PC's , a Windows update may screw up your graphics settings . Maybe rolling back your graphics card may fix it .

Make sure you did not somehow revert to internal graphics and are still using the dedicated GPU.

If you had mods installed in the past then make sure the Fallout 4 under Steam is empty or gone before you reinstall the game. There should also not be anything in the Fallout 4 folder under AppData. And also get rid of the .ini files under Documents\My Game\ before you reinstall the game.

Are you running ONEDRIVE on that computer?

Turn it off. it's probably moving files around or changing them so the game can't properly work.

Without knowing what your actual video card IS, or your other system specs, this is as far as we can help.

Please go to the top of your Steam library window, click HELP > SYSTEM INFORMATION and post the *entire* list. That will show drivers, alternate hardware, etc. vital to troubleshooting for you.

It's in the Video Settings, advanced button on the launcher.

It's a dropdown selection in a list with other settings, and if it's On, it's causes crashes so turn it off.

It does say unidentified graphic card but all my other games worked i notice this when i tried to play fallout new vegas it also is running into the same issue. I changed drivers do newest and older versions even one from when it would work. Then I but it in high performance instead of letting windows decide, I went into amd software and set it to performance instead of quality. All other steam games work including epic games its only fallout out that is having this issue!
