May 2, 2024 updated : is there mod to allow playing with pool table ? = yes & i finally got it working details here ;-) 3RD Mod from Bethesda site acct gave me ability to make all 16 balls & they work with table & rack mods & still earning XP points ;-)
I searched here various words of that. Nothing found except mention of resizing balls by picking up, holding up with grab key, then using console key & commands. Looks like no mod to actually use pool table when taking breaks between missions. I get that including interactive playable billiards would be like including another full game software. Would be worth paying Addon cost ($20?)& of course as it does when moving through doors to new area maps, to use pool table would get similar sizable reload of that map & software. That would be awesome to be able to do & greatly increase ways of enjoying the game & price worth paying. ;-) Way back when these games started coming out, Duke Nukem 3d came close, but not real play, shooting pool balls got them moving almost like real lols. ;-)

EDIT ADD after I got it working & balls & triangle resized to fit :
After few hrs/day handful of days last few weeks, I started understanding, learning, based on vaque non-detailed comments on what to do to get : Zeddy's "Pool Table Replacer" mod, loaded 1st using in game esc key menu pop up + "mods" + " working" activated or not ; reorder if more then 1 there ans 1 or more not working ; i have table mod loaded 1st l ball rack mod to make balls bit smaller & rack bit bigger so 15 can fit in. The table holes work now & 15 balls will fit rack. I only have found 6 balls so far. IT DOES WARN WITH POP UP WHEN LOADING A MOD & it asks if yiu want to reload game saying it will prevent Achievements earning while the mod active. I've yet to find out if i can piddle around, add stuff, move stuff, save, exit, reload & those changes still there. I'm guessing you can still do missions, maybe getting registered as done, BUT XP Points likely not increase. If you're okay with that, no biggy as long as you can still progress clearing missions assigned etc. Or simply deactivate the mod before going on assignments, clear the area sent to & along the way. When ready to rest at a Settlement like your home or fave settlement like mine is Satellite Drive In where I put in the Bethesda approved Arcade games standups that work & can be played. 6 of em. Similar to the original Space Invaders, Asteroids, Donky Kong & 3 others. What's funny & amazing with the programming of this game's creators, is the settlers often walking around, making many different comments, compliments, requests, like need more food production, will sit at the arcade games if you place tall stools just infront of each, looking like they playing them. lols :-) Not knowing which folder to paste the downloaded 2 files, esp & ba2 files, I copy pasted them in to the data & mods folders. They are also in folder in mod folder that has same name as it came with in compressed rar file which extracts as regular folder with that name & those 2 files in it. Didn't need to do anything else apparently. Just get them where they need to go, register them with game & Bethesda having Bethesda online acct created using same name as your player name, so when you use in game mod getter from menu you get in game when you tap esc key.., it logs you in with that name & saved password. Maybe this is needed too I not sure. Well, I guess ta da ta ta dats all folks !! lol All the needed details i think, if you like to try it too. ;-) There is likely console commands to equip in items junk list any pool ball by it's # or maybe an "all pool balls" command to put them there. Could someone please tell me what that is ? :-)

After testing it out for while, using working pool table & rack, adding some plates & utensils to picnic table @ Satellite Drive-In Settelement, with the table mod loaded 1st , rac mod 2nd, no other mods, i went to other settlement that was showing needed help exclamation mark... fixed em up, got rid of that exclamation mark, came back to working pool table. Then I made save file, exited to main out of game menus with load choices, deactivated pool + rack mods, reloaded previous file save... it warned that since it was saved with mods active, some stuff may not reload with those mods off... i said yes load anyway ... the only thing gone was the pool table ... balls & rack were on ground ... all other things added during previous mods use were still on picnic tables & the settlement i helped out was still showing the improvements. So all I missed out on was earning XP points & next perk points.

Soooo, I suggest you not use the mods when going out on missions or planning lot of adding points earning stuff. Save file just before you want to load those mods. Exit to main game start secreen. Use Mods button with internet access on & Bethesda acct setup with same player name. From this main game screen menu when you click mods it'll say logging you in ... if already loaded before they will show as the names of the esp files in the same name folder in mods folder ... click boxes to activate them... pull out of that & it'' say it wants to reload game main screen due to change ... yes ... after you done playing around with this & those Arcade games... want to do more helping build stuff there & or clear more bad guys away & helping other places... saev where you at with mods... exit game to main game screen... disable mods ... reload game save file ...

whe nyou want to play pool again you'll only have to turn on the mods again, load last save file, in a snap rebuild the pool table, OH AND BEFORE LEAVING EARLIER WHEN DONE PLAYING POOL, IF YOU PLAN TO DO XP earning stuff, simply take all balls & rack to your junk inventory so you drop em on rebuilt table with mods on.

Orrr... Simply reload the same save file showing working pool table whenever yopu want to judt play around wit hit. Your Arcade games will always be there to use as they not a mod but added as game craft from Bethesda site using your acct set up wit hthem for that & mods use. ;-)

Found on Methesda site via creation at their site of login with same FO 4 player name & created pass. Accessed their mods using that acct which I paid online to put few credits in. When I in game before loading mission went to mods it asked for username & pass set up. Since then it logs in thier automatically when I browse their mods & crafts addons.

That is where I found the 3rd mod to be able to craft all 15 pool balls. That work in bigger rack & pol table with working holes. Was challenging getting them all in rack but finally did it. The challenge was fun. Tricky but with practice it gets easier & easier.

Now to work on the shooting. So far I need to practice that to get decent at it. More challenge fun. ;-)

Later update : Completed 2 missions with 3 mods running & when I reported success to Commander of Minutemen in my Sanctuary Hills, it dinged & showed XP points earned around 350 XP . :-) So contrary to warning of not getting that when loading mods, it still gave them to me. ;-)

that'd be downright wild. would give that I'm Darlene so much more depth, I'm all for it.

I so wish, yeah. I don't *think* that the one that comes with Chuck Yufarley's "Roadhouse" build set does anything more than the one you can build in Decorations tab, but he did put three interactive machines (a gunfighter, a bowling table game, and a punching bag) that do work with both settlers and you can use them as well. I might put one in just to see, when I go into a settlement. I doubt it though because that's a LOT of animation.

A net Bing search with AI help said yes & gave the following address also shown in list of search : https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/61379 I also searched it's name "Fallout 4 Billiards Of The Commonwealth Mod issues" to see if any findable reports of issues & warnings from anyone anywhere. Some scrolling found no issues warnings. However, I'm reluctant to download, virus/malware scan, try it, until well searched including posting here for while. I'm also usure if I need other installs as on it's page it shows list of requirements of 2 things : namely : "opparco Poser Hotkeys for fo4 = https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/61379 reading that page it looks complicated to use. I was hoping just install and easy pleasy use but simpliest it appears it may be is it says have cue stick in hand, highlight your player or companion, i'm guessing it fails to mention start console with tilde key then type what it shows, then close console with tilde key. A copy paste of that info follows here : "SUMMARY
-> Billiards of the Commonwealth, is a small mod pack created from vanilla, lore-friendly. And because all my poses are made with weapon draw support, all you need is a pool cue in your hand to play the game. Or you wanna practice yourself, who knows. No DLC's and mod requirements, besides AAF and PH which are optional to make it work.

-> 8 Ball Pool Game is commonly called for a billiand, too. First inspirations from youtubers playing the game frequently on Mobile/PC so far. However, in Fallout 4, we only have props and tables added by Bethesda, as decorations purposes. So with this pack i made it playable.

What this contains?
-> Pool Tables, extended until 04 (02 - Pool Ready, 03 - Preparing, 04 - Decorated, Unready) + Pool Rack fixed for it, but not vanilla replacer as clutter junk yet. Each extended table collisions are improved.
-> Location: Vanilla workshop: Furniture -> Tables.
-> Poses with Weapon Draw.
-> Dot Reflex sight+Scope attachments for vanilla pool cue, with weapon bench.

How it works? (+List of Poses, AAF users)
-> Make sure you have a Pool Cue equipped. Find one from your enemies, or spawn one by typing in console: 14.additem FA3E8.
-> Highlight your player, or your companion, and type:

-> Playidle 8bpPose1 -> 8 (+1b, 1c, 1d,... *Those are variants.), check out below for references.

-> For AAF users, don't forget to build any variants of Pool tables through workshop (PoolTable01 - vanilla, works.). Have your cue equipped, but not holstered, and use AAF. It will automatically draw your cue once you pick one of my poses following a tree menu branches, called: Billiard Menu.

Pose References

Permissions
-> No redistributions to other sites! But writting an article to your site is fine, as long as you credit me with my mod link.
-> You have my permission to take my pool tables for your mods, excluding poses. It's all made in vanilla, just credit me. *Permission details...
-> Retextures from showcase AREN'T mine and not included. But it's either recommended to look realistic in game. Their links are in credits tab.

Screenie Credits
-> Tiam
-> SherzaSEA
-> Enchongerz
-> SynthOverboss"

Can anyone tell me is this safe or risky ?? Complicated or easy pleasy ??
Necron Monolith ₿ Apr 14, 2024 @ 12:41am
that's just poses, not animations. just plain unconvincing.

Certainly! Let’s address the issues related to the Billiards of the Commonwealth (8 Ball Pool) mod in Fallout 4.

Mod Description:
Billiards of the Commonwealth is a small mod pack created from vanilla assets, designed to be lore-friendly.
The mod allows you to play pool with your friends in the Commonwealth using extended pool tables and poses.
All you need is a pool cue in your hand to enjoy the game.
There are no DLC requirements, but you can optionally use AAF (Advanced Animation Framework) and Poser Hotkeys to enhance the experience1.
Features:
Pool Tables: The mod extends existing pool tables in the game (up to 4 variations) and fixes the pool rack.
Poses with Weapon Draw: The poses are designed to work seamlessly with weapon draw support.
Dot Reflex Sight + Scope Attachments: You can customize your vanilla pool cue with these attachments using a weapon bench1.
How to Play:
Make sure you have a Pool Cue equipped. You can find one from enemies or spawn it using the console command: player.additem FA3E8.
To use the poses, highlight your player or companion and type the following console command:
Playidle 8bpPose1 (You can explore other pose variants as well).
For AAF users, build any variant of the pool tables through the workshop (e.g., PoolTable01).
Ensure your cue is equipped (not holstered) and use AAF. It will automatically draw your cue when selecting one of the mod’s poses from the Billiard Menu1.
Permissions and Credits:
No redistributions to other sites are allowed, but you can write articles on your site as long as you credit the mod author.
You can use the pool tables for your own mods (excluding poses) by giving credit.
Retextures showcased in the mod are not included but can be found in the credits tab1."

Bummer. So it saying "you can play 8 ball by yourself or with companion" it only means look like you are but can't actually have balls respond to being hit from various angles ??
Cam Gibb Apr 14, 2024 @ 12:56am
hmmm, another copy paste from Bing Chatbot has me thinking you can play 8 ball. I'll wait day or more for responses then likely try it. 🤔 "Certainly! The Billiards of the Commonwealth mod for Fallout 4 brings the classic game of 8 Ball Pool to the post-apocalyptic wasteland. Created by EngineGaming, this lore-friendly mod adds several features:

Pool Tables: The mod extends existing pool tables in the game, making them playable. There are four variations: Pool Ready, Preparing, Decorated, and Unready."

Well there's this video showcasing the mod "working pool table" (which is NOT a settlement mod, it's a modder's resource) though it's got some issues in LOOT according to at least a couple comments.

The one from Yufarley sadly is just static entirely, I just wish that there was more to it than this.

Bummer :-( High 5 thanks for finding & sharing this. I'll have look at it now. :-)
I can see it now; playing pool against Cait, watching her bend over in the full VTAW body suit to take the shot.

Epic immersion.

Further searching * help from above has found there truly is a functional playable pool table mod at the following link pasted here. I'll post here when tried. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/60477?tab=description
