In the show, where'd they get a Prydwen?
The Prydwen was designed using captured research and built from the remains of the Capital Enclave, including all the spare vertibirds. Fallout 4 kind of implies that it's the only one of it's kind, given how much of a big deal it is that it's there and that Maxson himself is aboard it. So when I saw it, it immediately confused me.

So either:
Maxson sent the designs to the West-Coast chapters, which then would lack the man-power and materials to build one. Especially given that most of the West-Coast Brotherhood had and/or was getting bodied by the NCR.

-or-

Multiple were built on the east coast and one was sent west. Which is also not very likely. If there were multiple, it still wouldn't have been more than two or three. And they wouldn't have sent one of their biggest sources of strength that far away. And if they actually did, there would've been a MUCH larger presence than just a handful of Knights. Wherever that ship goes is swarming with Knights AND Paladins. And finally, do you think the NCR is just going to *let* a weapon like that float on over to the heart of their territory? They might not be able to fight it off, but they would've tried.

It just really feels like some poorly thought out fan service without considering the lore implications. Am I missing something that would justify it?

FO4 was 2287, TV show is 9 years later.

A lot can happen in 9 years.

Also given player decisions in FO4, the Prydwen may have been destroyed.

Maybe it was sent West after the fall (or rise) of the institute, maybe they built another one after it was destroyed.

There's been multiple inconsistencies and plot holes since the IP has been handed off from one company to the next. That and player decisions allow multiple split timelines to break off from each other.

Fallout is all fun and great but it's not really a cohesive story and I don't think it's been for a long time.

Even before Bethesda Fallout lore has been incredibly inconsistent. It's better to think of it as a collection of places, factional archetypes and aesthetics that you can mix around to tell stories rather than a concretely developed setting and history ala Lord of the Rings.

There is a line, very quick and you miss it in the first episode. It says the ship came with orders from the BoS HQ in the Commonwealth. This leads me to figure two things.

One, the BoS ending for F4 is the cannon ending for the series, and two that is infact THE Prydwyn. Which, giving what they are looking for, would make sense sending it.

Not destroyed, in the TV show the BOS has set up shop in the commonwealth and it seems like there is a major research center there because the scribes over there need to be listen to. The Ex institute scientist must have been rounded up and 'convince' to join the BOS in the commonwealth after Maxson nuke the institute.

DC is their HQ it's more like a major center for scribes or a research center otherwise it would have been the high elder who send out the order not the scribes.

After winning in the commonwealth, the High Elder must have decided that he need to reinforce the west BOS chapters with equipment and manpower so the Prydwen class was copied and send to the west BOS Chapters.

I thought about that, but the Prydwen is such a huge part of their presence that it would be stupid to remove it from the area.

Not to mention, that if it was THE Prydwen, there would be a massive brotherhood presence. There's no way they only send one knight and one initiate to investigate each sight. They'd also need to send scribes into the field to properly identify the tech.

It just doesn't make a lot of sense.

Sad you can't imagine they are just dealing with losses from battles to reach where they are.
