it will say it in relatively small text, but it will be there.

easier method:

Did you download it from steam untouched, or verify Steam files? Congrats you have the current Next Gen.

Non-updated game on Steam will still show blue in your list: needs update, therefore 163.

You can also find out the version by right clicking the game in the library. manage, browse local files, then in the folder that opens, look for the file named Fallout4 with a fallout icon on it (if you have file extensions visible, will be called fallout4.exe), right click it, then properties, and in the details tab, it will say the version in the file version and product version lines.

1.10.163.0 is the version before next-gen.
