In fallout 1 we had the Vault Dweller, in 2 we had The Chosen One, in 3 it was The Lone Wanderer, and in NV we had The Courier. So what will this guy be called? leave your thoughts below!

Most likely. It's a convenient way to refer to them in both official and unofficial sources since everybody will likely name their characters differently. I don't think the Lone Wanderer was ever referred to that in game but he still had the moniker.

That's the cool thing about Fallout 4. At the E3 conference it was said that you can chose your favourite (serious!) name and maybe you will be called like this ingame. Apparently they recorded 1000+ names. So for example in the shown gameplay the protagonist was given the name "Howard" and that's what he was called by the NPCs.
