It may even be DX12/11 only.
DX 9 only support shader model 3.0 which is very outdated.
DX 10 is Sm 4.0 and DX 11 is SM 5.0
The trailer did NOT have the phrases "GAME PLAY" or "IN ENGINE"
as a result, the trailer could have been used on a heavily modified SKYRIM mod pack!
I am saying it could be much worse or better - we have no idea... but yeah i agree :)
Thanks for the info, i'm not really an expert when it comes to DX features :^)
From what I have seen though most people are complaining about the textures/model fidelity in the trailer, which I thought weren't really affected by DX version apart from the effects that come with the shader model and such.
From what I understand game developers have had the DX12 API for a while now, so it may be in DX12 if we are lucky.
