A 100 mods isn't bad. I have 78 . Manageable and any issues are quite easy to sort out. Any extra modding is done through the Ini file, so technically I have more than 78.

But be wary of having much more...

I have no mod suggestions though.

Modding is a personal experience.... Its finding mods that interest YOU, and trying them
Its about making the game for YOU...

I could give you a list of 500 mods right now, but they are what *I* like and want in fallout, and that is probably not what you want or like in your fallout game.

-Atomic World : adds approx 100(!) new locations in the commonwealth, some empty, some friendly some hostile, this even includes new cities in the glowing Sea
-Jurttu's Interiors
-NAC-X ( only runs well on decent machines, its a bit resource hungry, does a lot more than just weather via controls in MCM, but its beautiful, IMHO for smooth running, minimum RAM 32GB, mininum GPU 4070)
-The Forest
-The Mashlands
-The Wilderness
-The Rooftops
-Xander's Aid
-Peaceful Scavengers (because it just doesnt make sense how these lightly armed folks that are just scraping by, would pick fights with the walking WW3 that is the sole survivor)
-Diamond City Plus ( like Diamond City expansion but more stable in previs)
-Diamond City more Security
-4estGimp Diamond City Outskirts
-CSEP Loaded bases
-Camoflage Armor paintjobs
-Camoflage Power Armor Paintjobs
-Mod COntrol Menu (MCM)
-Settlement menu manager
-SSK Fast starts and almost any SKK mod
-Customizable Combat AI Nearby Object Search - F4SE (keeps your settlers from -plundering your workshop and containers during combat)
-Combat AI Empowered - Reduce Grenade Spam (which is better more aggressive ---Combat AI but not so aggressive that they are all killing each other before u even arrive)
-Locksmith - Lock Your Doors 'n' Containers
-subway runner revival (there is also a competing "subway runner revised" but the enemies in it are a bit too OP IMO)
-Hunter's Abyss (huge radiated Canyon South of the Glowing Sea)

PS: If you like settlements:
- Transfer settlement blueprints
-Homemaker expanded settlements

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5852?tab=posts Makes NPC's way smarter and harder

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5060 Makes the game much better looking with zero performance impact

I won't play Fallout4 without these two.

.
I had issues with this one.
The detection ranges were large enough that a great many of neighboring NPC lairs detected each other and went into combat with one another.
So by the time I got there, they were mostly all dead already.
The "Combat AI Empowered" in its Reduce Grenade Spam version, seems a milder version of the one you listed. :steamhappy:

i personally like the mod "Kill Preston" got tired of being an errand runner for him
Oh here's one I forgot too. Best power armor skins I've seen in any fallout game.

any LL mods :P

in a more seriousness

mostly performance mod like debris disabler, insignificant item remover, looted world (runs much better and games actually harder / makes more sense nothing there after 200 years), optimized vanilla textures, and south boston fix.

personal faves:

-kmart radio = makes exploring the post-war capitalist nuclear hellscape much more entertaining than a radio with nothing but old songs

-vault 111 settlement (the one you gotta fight the mirlurk queen in the bottom settlement to unlock) = 100% makes that old vault much better to make something out of

-clean settlement fixtures = people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that "ummmmm why do you make shacks from scratch but it still looks like ♥♥♥♥?!?" Well this mod helped a lot imo to be more immersive and definitely recommend

-CWSS = commonwealth showers and sinks which adds usable showers sinks toilets bathroom stuff that makes it easier to keep settlers happy and you a bit of boosted benefits. More immersive b/c wearing the same stuff for several days and not smell outside of a vault suit isn't optimal

-place anywhere mod = common quality of life mod recommend to build anywhere on your settlement where even being 1 inch off now won't be listed as a red tagged cannot place there item

-nuka raider settlement items unlocked = idr the actual name the one that unlocks and you can keep all nuka world raider settlement items even if you betray them. Having about 10 chem vending machines helps a lot for caps or boosts.

-Nuka cola fridges = they turn your nuka cola into iceed versions that give you a better buff and immersion after a hot day helps you cool off.

-Nuka cola flavors in the common wealth mod = it adds the nuka world nuka flavors to common wealth simple mod i recommend to start hoarding them

-fog remover / far harbor fog remover = this is a big one i recommend to make indoors better to see and in far harbor i know the fog is the gimmick / selling point but after awhile it just gets annoying so turning it off every now and then for a run or 2 is nice.
Sim Settlements 2 if you like settlements and multiple dlc length story lines
Just the mods for fixing the load times.

Everything else is personal tastes.

Diamond City Expansion is buggy for me since it appears to break previs and the patches with my large load order generally did not fix it.

So I stuck on Diamond City Plus. Which is fine and has almost as much added content ( no red seat though) and is bug free as far as I can tell in my many playthroughs.

Diamond City plus is also compatible with Diamond City Security (extra guards) and Diamond City Outskirts,
Diamond City outskirts also adds a lot of content to DC, more vendors (in the wall on on the edge of patrolled areas such as "The Hole") yet more NPCs and two Power Armored DC security guards at the main entrance.
It comes in a original version from SGT Mikey and a version with cleaned up records and previs from 4estgimp
but even the regular version from SGT Mikey has worked fine for me w/o issues, and the version with fixed previs blocks off a T45 armor ed DC guard and one entrance to
a LOT more rooms in the walls on the right with a wood wall (on the other side too but you can always access those rooms from another major entrance) And you will now likely miss them, if you dindt already know they were there and to jump over that wall in the lobby of the gate.
Though I guess with the SGT Mikey version you incur more risk to your savefile (and the original SGT Mikey version is NOT compatible with Diamond City More Security
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13078 )

I can link you if you like, but searches on Nexus with those words will get u what u r looking for.
