Railroad quest progression.

Decided to do the Railroad ending since I've never done that before but I'm stuck at what I perceive to be near the end.

I joined, met with Patriot, killed the tunnel guards, stashed weapons etc.

Have the Underground Undercover quest active to where it said to keep working with Father and have done exactly that. I just completed the part that where I've booted up the Institute's reactor and have met with the directorate to discuss going to war with the BoS.

Father gave me the mission to take out the Railroad, traveled there and told Desdemona and all she did was give me some BS about stalling for time and stepping up our plans with ZL-41 or whatever his name is... yet no clear way to progress on that front.

She also gave me a side quest about about Ticonderoga(sp?) safe house too. I've largely been ignoring the Railroad missions that aren't required to progress the main story. So could anybody lend some insight as to what I need to do or possibly if those missions that I perceived as side missions let me know if they are in fact required?

There's about 50+ more missions for each of the factions you can do, you're nowhere near 'the end' of this.
