The LB and Y buttons on my xbox one controller stopped working suddenly

....Also, my player now flies/floats whenever I look up.
I was building in a settlement for awhile, so I did not notice any issues until i started floating in midair in workshop mode. I would land back on the ground by looking down while walking. Looking up while moving causes player to walk up into the air even out of workshop mode. That is annoying, but when I got a quest to help another settlement being attacked, I knew something was wrong. I fast traveled to location, then realized I couldnt jump nor use VATS.

I tried restarting PC, made sure Steam controller support was disabled. I tried using different controllers, using them wireless and with usb cords....nothing works. The Y button works in game if you choose the option to use default controller settings. but once I unpause the game. the Y button goes back to not working.

I did install the Breakheart Banks settlement mod a couple days ago. I also have SS2 and some addons for that mod. Ive spent hours researching conflicts. there dont appear to be any I saw. Internet searches on these issues are absent. not precisely like mine. or if someone asked something similiar the question goes unanswered. I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Sounds like clipping off but there is no console on xbox right?? Maybe a mod turned on "noclipping" I would look into the mods that are installed. If you do have access to the console try the command "tcl"

Do you have Workshop Plus mod? That one makes you fly while in workshop mode.
Also, as mentioned above tcl command is probably turned on.
With regards to your controller, is the ControlMap_Custom.txt file set to read-only? It sounds like the game is unable to save the changes.

I dont have Workshop Plus, I dont use console commands.

If you have Sim Settlements 2 then you have Workshop Framework as that is a requirement.

This mod has a "tcl" similar command for building that allows you to float and "fly" around the settlement at accelerated speeds as well has a bunch of other tools.

as to your controller, no idea as I NEVER use controllers. but its sounding like some functionality of WSFW is somehow overriding your controller config... OR you are not properly exiting "build mode" and shutting down the wsfw mode.. thus leaving you in "build mode but not"... as evidenced by your floating and lack of VATS.

How you fix this? NO idea :(

Maybe look through the WSFW bug reports to see if someone has reported similar problems.
Or try the Sim settlements web page and/or Discord?
