Hi, I got the legendary scrap mod, however for some reason I can't scrap legendary guns, anyone got some mods please?

Which hasn't been updated since 2018 and has very recent bug report/comments that it doesn't work?

You can't scrap legendaries because the game does not want you to do that, as it might screw something else up badly.

Which also has similar issues since long before the one posted above even existed?

The "some reason" you can't scrap it is that likely neither mod has ever done it correctly in the first place, which would have been obvious if you would read the comments and bug reports sections on these ancient and crusty mods.

You don't need to scrap them. Sell them or put them in a collection or give them to your settlers instead.

yes, and I did read the bug reports etc, and they worked for a while, that's why I'm posting this and I don't need caps as I use purified water for cash, it's easier in my honest opinion.

If it 'worked for a while' at what *exact point* in both REAL WORLD time, and in game events, did it STOP?

If your computer updated and changed settings, if you changed *any* drivers, hardware, programs, etc that might have access to the steam folders, if you updated or changed any of the mods, including your mod organizer or f4se, .... ANY changes, between the last time it worked and when it did not, check those things.

If they just worked that short a time ago, something must have updated on your computer. that makes no sense at all. Very strange!

oh, they do more then that :P

Scrapped legendaries give you "microchips" as an added resource.
Those Chips can be used to put legendaries onto other weapons and equipment.
Or, you can just swap the legendary effort to a different weapon or armour...

should note, magazines are required for the adding of legendary effects.
they can be found in Vault offices of the commonwealth.. Or you can buy them from Arturio
