Sim Settlers 2 Critical Error?
As long as i can remember, when i load into my games i always get a warning about the Workshop Script thing that SS2 relies on not being in the proper place. It suggests installing a mod, ithink its called Workshop Script Override fix or something, thats supposed to be the last mod in your load order, and supposedly fix this issue. But it doesnt seem to, as i always get this error anyways

The reason i bring this up is because it seems to tie into my SS2 critical error issue. I get this warning most but not every time i load in, saying a critical error arose and my SS2 files were corrupt, but as much as possible has been restored

There are a few questions i have from this. Firstly, should i care? I have yet to notice any game breaking issues, even after being near the end of chapter 1 for SS2. I figured if there was a "critical error" id see problems sooner. The other note is the Workshop Script and how it seems to not work with the override fix mod it suggests

I'd suggest (even though I'm sure someone will be by claiming 'but') that their discord would be a much better place to look for help with this very specific ss2 issue.

Though I did find this in their normal web forum you should read it and see if this is correct or add your voice to the thread (if it's open) if you still have issues.

Hm, scrolling over this it seems i have yet to even run into an actual issue. I get the error, but people on that thread are reporting frequent game crashes and progress loss. I have neither, i just keep getting the warning and the SS2 error, but i dont experience crashes (that are the result of this, sometimes creature spawning stuff makes issues). I havnt lost quest or world progress and have no crashes, seems its just an empty threat on my end

I do acknowledge the suggestion to go to their discord, but my gripe with this is that every large mod for every game has a dedicated discord these days. I play so many games, heavily modded with many large mods. Id be in a million groups if i joined each one to ask questions, hence why im trying to sift the general F4. I know this isnt exactly the right place, im just tying to avoid clogging discord, since i mostly use it for college
SS2 is riddled with buggy behavior, yeah. I'd say just... keep manual saves AND backups if you see the error message, but hey if you're not SEEING those bugs? More power to ya.
