There are some extra content packs in this game version that I strongly recommend you delay, otherwise it will unbalance the game.
Consider using Nixgen to either disable
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/82345
or postpone
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/82311
(read thru the description of those links it will explain it better than I can here)
Those quests. You may have to installa a mod control Menu to use those apps properly.
Also the unoffical fallout 4 patch help minimize issues in-game
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4598
And finally dont go crazy on mods on your first playthrough, keep in vanilla, the main exceptions being utilities such as the ones I linked and the onyl exception being Atomic World.
A super enriching addtion that adds alot of locations. I wish I had played with it on ym first playthru
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/28713
But if you deicde to go no mods at all at least take this tip:
When you get out of the vault you get hit by all these messages about all these quests.
Ignore all of them that are not the "GO home" quest.
Go into your pipboy Data section and uncheck all quests of that type and save them for MUCH later in the game, like after you neat the main quest.
or u can use one of the two NixGen mods I linked above to accomplish same this in one of 2 different ways.
IMO, Bethesda should have had that extra content behind level requirements of at ;least 3o or better yet main quest completion.
After all that:
Welcome to your new adventure!!!
After a short while I dont use companions anymore because the Lone Wanderer perk is so strong and it only works w/o any companions.
Also once you are capable of high rate fires they can get in the way of you unfolding your full combat power and dont like to worry about them.
if you install mods that add new locations to them game or let the free creation club content run in the first place you'll get pissed off if you later deactivate the location mods or let the creation club content run and potentially ambush you with an encounter you can't beat at low level (the author didn't put a level requirement on that specific quest)
it was made before dei and sbi.
don`t mod too fast! the game needs your attention to run stable but it does if you eliminate or you know about still existing bugs.
the game is fully featured for free exploration and quests. the story is a little wierd, some quests are ok and many are fetch...
physics, npc and game world is well thought and nicely featured. settlements can be fun but treating them wrong may bring problems with stability.
you can play and advance slow and also fast. mods will help you.
i just use the free nexumods mods, no cc content. it is up to you to even pay for mods...
Then you can adjust your appearance again at any time.
- Having the wrong hairstyle in particular stressed me out the first time.
Skill immidiatly the Perk "Strong Back STR 6"
With:
level 30 (Normal mode) When overencumbered, you can fast travel.
- you can loot everything. The annoying wearing limit is deleted from the gameplay.
The Pip-Boy color white is lightest, so the white flashlight is the brightest. Simply all 3 colors to the far right.
