No seriously, Fallout London is one of the best games I have ever played
I love the classic Bethy single player games, like Oblivion, Skyrim, and F3, FNV, and F4. This "mod" stands tall with any $70 game today and any of the original ones I just listed. I sadly passed on Starfield, which I was looking forward to for 10 years or whatever, bc it was largely procedurally generated.

Here, I have well over 130 hours in and I'm STILL SURPRISED by new and interesting things, and the very unique custom designed sets (no procedurally generated boring repetition here). Everything feels so artistic, darkly humorous, and SPECIFICALLY (and sensibly) designed. Just like Elden Ring or Risen, look behind the tree, and whoops a hidden stash! I explored one overgrown area and just knew there was something there, but couldn't find it, until about 5 minutes later I found a purposely obscured door. There's no random garbage here. Only handcrafted artistry.

No two areas truly feel the same. There is always some kind of hidden gag, special surprise, or funny note to find. Different factions and groups have their own little sayings. Just when I thought I saw it all, and I don't want to spoil it, one ... "building," had a puzzle of navigation that reminded me of some of the "worst" areas in Elden Ring. I was like, WHAT?! Crazy. In fact I got 99% of the way through it but was stumped or intimidated by the last challenge, and had to abandon it, which I did not want to do, trust me.

There is so much subtle humor in the game, I sometimes burst out laughing, at some of the obscure references. Just tonight, after 130 hours I was reading a computer terminal and was amazed at how specific the "banned" book list was versus what else was requested. SO MUCH THOUGHT went into every encounter, every room, every trash bin you look through, in this game, big or small.

Lastly, I still can't get over how everything is completely voice acted. And the radio stations are amazing. I mean HOW COOL is it to play Fallout in Europe? I always wondered what the rest of the world was going to be like. The different British, Irish and Scottish (and sometimes Indian) accents just nail it for me. And, all the British humor and references, like 005 music and poster.

I admit I haven't really seen yet how all the factions play out against each other, so I can't comment on the plot, but to me the Environment always was the star of the game (as some other reviewer put it). I play on Very Hard, so I generally silently crawl along and snipe things, and it's slow going . In fact, recently, I only discovered the workshop which I guess you are supposed to find very early on (I guess do everything backwards, bc I already visited some of the most dangerous parts on the map but not his beginner area).

In summary, it's the custom attention and LOVE LOVE LOVE that makes this game. As I said before, this is the Fallout 5 experience I so desperately wanted. And we received it for free. Can you believe this? What a gift. If you like F3, F4 or FNV, I hope you all try this. I hope this team starts their own company.

Well that's rather rude. I appreciate his little review. I shall give him an award.

I only wish it would work in VR. When it does I will defo try it. Thankyou for the review, Captain chaos.

@Zeikiran: I rather disagree. I submit it is actually totally the place. I wish there were more ways to let people know what an amazing Fallout game this.

I have been waiting for something like this for 10 years!! since F4, all we received was F76 was multiplayer without NPCs (originally), SF is procedurally generated disappointment from what I read (too bad, I was so looking forward to that), and personally stopped playing Outer Worlds after whatever 20-30 hours or something.

And hey though, if you loved those games that's great, I'm happy for you, but I did not. And, here, the community, on their own, released a full length completely unique gaming experience that is every bit as good as any other Fallout game, again IMHO. It's literally like a gift from Santa Claus! :)

Playing this the other night, so enjoying myself, completely unlooked for, I was quite moved to spread the word. I almost didn't even play this bc I didn't really understand what this project was, and was intimidated by the loading process, etc. and now I am SO GLAD I went through the trouble.

That's the reason for the message. If you have suggestions of other places to do this, I would be grateful to know, so that others might experience this!

@PeaceMaker: That is so very kind of you! WOW, VR must be amazing to experience it. I played F4 for 10 minutes on my friend's VR set and I could not believe the difference.

Just don't get your hopes up about actual published games.
