It used to also have an effect on the distance enemies showed up on the compass, but that wasn't put into Fallout 4. And since Fallout 4 also removed the skill system, it lost that use as well. Bethesda has simplified their games (Fallout and Elder Scrolls) over time, which does remove some of the usefulness of things.
FNV and FO3 perception affected the range that enemies appeared on the compass. but since enemies only appear on FO4's compass if they are actively looking for or attacking the player there's no point to PE affecting the compass in FO4.
They also need to fix enemies spawning under the ground (like in Nordhagen Beach), or at least allow you to loot those bodies. Hint: killing those mobs requires an area-effect weapon of sufficient power, such as a mini nuke or the jetpack death-from-above stomp...but the DFA has to hit just right if you're using Calibrated Servos (+carry weight).
I wish we had that too. I've lost corpses that were killed with just the Deliverer, so it's not even explosive kills that disappear. I've watched corpses I couldn't rush over to in time just fade away to nothingness. Frustrating.
I am told, however, that there is a mod for finding the corpses. I may try that one on my next playthrough.
here you are silly, eat this *drops a grenade
Does perception affect pick pocketing chanse?
As was said earlier, the only thing Perception has an effect on is your accuracy when using VATS. It doesn't modify anything else at all.
Despite Pickpocket being a Perception perk, it is Agility that modifies your chances to successfully pick a pocket. But even then, it is only 1% per point of Agility.
Please actually read the thread. This simply is not true in Fallout 4. I'll say it again - quite literally, the only thing Perception has an effect on in Fallout 4 is VATS accuracy. It was true that previously Perception did have an effect on when enemies appear on the compass, but Fallout 4 changed how enemies appear and Perception no longer has any effect on that.
I stand corrected, thanks for clarifying it. I didn't notice that it was changed since fo3&nv
but I'll have to disappoint you and keep replying by reading title & last two posts in threads. I still can miss previous messages, can sometimes miss the whole point, as i dont have time and/or interest to read everything it writes.
everyone says what they know and it builds up a answer, no need to do gapekeeping and telling people what to do. just write what you know once and leave it. not everyone responses like i do to "actually read the thread" thats why we keep seeing pages of fights here.
Well, if you had bothered to take 2 minutes to read, you would have realized you were in fact wrong. "Everyone says what they know" is a poor excuse, because you keep getting people saying console commands block achievements and you need a Defense score equal to Food + Water. Try actually being correct when you post something. There is too much misinformation out there already without contributing more.
