How to reset quest?

Long story short was playing survival.
Used console to complete best left forgotten as I HATE that mini game.

Used the console to go back to survival but realized now I need the quest to get the launch keys as well as dig up the syth replacement.

All over google it says just type resetquest questID
So the quest ID for best left forgotten is
Editor ID
DLC03MQ04
Form ID
xx001B42

?????????? Is it the DLC one? Or the Form ID? Also how do you figure out the first 2 numbers?

If you type sqt in the console, it should list all your current quests and display their ID

The XX in your case is the LOAD ORDER of ya DLC.
I.E 030001B42 if Far Harbour is ya 3rd DLC.

Your far better bet is to go to a prior save, but since you broke that by being both in Survival AND using the console to do something you shouldn't in the first place, good luck. It's highly likely to break the rest of your quests in that area, or have other weirder outcomes. Survival is iffy at best on a good day, as you've noticed.

I'd recommend using one of the mods which enable console and other things in Survival, which maybe you already have since you claim to have used it, but also there's a mod that allows you to skip those puzzles. Either way an older save would still be far, far more likely to survive what you're doing to it.

There is actually a mod which skips that entire mini game. You flip the switch and all holotapes are deposited in your inventory.

Using Vortex with a few mods,
Going to start using "Ultimate Survival", as it allows you to quick save and use console commands.
In all my years on and off playing I always end up stock on something and having to use the console anyways.

Awesome. At least you'll have the challenge of survival but not the buggy crap that shouldn't have come with the normal game's version!
