Bethesda already had silly stuff, like the crashed alien ship. if traits are in they might bring the some kind of perk like that to the game or they might just have the silly stuff already in.

but the alien ship led to dlc not a silly easter egg like the refrigerator with the skeleton in it as reference to indiana jones or various monty python references not many ridiculous things to laugh at

I like having Wild Wasteland as a perk more than just having it by default since some people don't enjoy seeing various references and jokes, while some people do. It's basically just a toggle for those events.
