but if you look at the special stats' descriptions, they dont mention any of the skills. normally the special stats say what skill they influence, but in the videos you dont see that
so it is likely that skills are no longer in the game.
i for one dont really care either way, because the gameplay looks amazing and that is what really matters
Has there been information released about the skill system?

there is a barter bobblehead. this was a skill in fallout 3 and new vegas.
and the bobblehead rack has 20 slots. there are only seven special stats. and there were 20 bobbleheads in fallout 3
So finding a science bobblehead would mean your science perk will increase by 1 level.
I guess that either there will be more levels or there will be more perk points per level as a result.
As for perks, I also prefer Skyrim's skill-gated perks. But I also understand that a lot of Fallout perks aren't related to skills. So maybe there could be special perk trees to go along with the skill perk trees. Like a Sole Survivor tree, or a Wasteland Badass tree.
FYI collectibles. Just because it was something in Fallout 3 doesn't mean it's the same thing in Fallout 4.
yeah i know what collectibles are. i was simply pointing out what i saw in the gameplay trailer for fallout 4 from E3
and yes i know it probably wont be the same but, this shows that the skills from previous fallout games will most likely be returning. whether or not they are the same as they were in previous games is still unknown
