Pieces for T45 Power Armour
Hey. I have found 2 saio armors. 1 at the museum rooftop & another near the robot dumpster. The latter only has a chest & left leg cover. Where do I buy the parts for these? Also found 4 FC but the are all at 60 -50 % . Do the vendors sells them? Which vendor is most reliable?

Also i killed a raider named Ack Ack & got a minigun. Will this break any quest? Thanks.

Power armor spawns in many locations across the map. While the Brotherhood will sell some parts on the Prydwen after it arrives, most parts would be bought from Rowdy of the Atom Cats. That location is rather far to the south east, however. In general, you just find the parts on the suits that spawn across the map.

There are several named raider bosses. And no, killing Ack-Ack (or, as far as I can remember, and other the other named raider bosses) won't hurt anything. She isn't used for any quests. There is a quest at that location, but the thing you are looking for is in a small red toolbox in that room. You can acquire it with no problem if you don't already have the quest to retrieve it.

There is a randomly generated quest to kill a bandit leader, but if the leader of the chosen location has already died another, generic raider leader will just be spawned in their place.

There is a perk that reduces the drain rate of fusion cores. If you loot the PA sites in the top of the map areas you can end up with 2 sets. Explore and you will find them. Also there are maps online of where to find PA and cores but they might make it too easy.

You will find other sets of T45 (and higher) PA in various spots as the story progresses. Keep your eyes peeled for places would you might expect them, Military wrecks/checkpoints of any kind, transportation assets such as trains etc. a small minority of those locations will have PAs and/or PA parts
You CAN buy them eventually at a couple of places but it based on your question you are in the early game, so its far off.
(Goodneighbor is the closest one of the places to buy PA parts, but even this is a bit hard to get to for an early gamre charaxcter which you clearly are. It's a lot easier and cheaper to just keep your eyes peeled and find them, be sure to invest one perkpoint into hacking for terminals, hint)

Killing Ackack will not break any quests.
The only quest that gets you to the sattelite station can be completed even if all raiders are already killed (u r going to be asked to look for and find an item of sentimental value for someone, so if you are concerned about breaking another quest, dont willy-nilly, loot the place for baubles and sell them all, not just yet at least)

You should already have a minigun if you went to the museum rooftop and followed the main questline there.
Thing is, miniguns are somewhat nerfed in this game for 2 reasons;
- a crushing shortage of 5mm. Especially in the volume you need to make the minigun useful.
-the damage tables are nerfed compared to the old school fallouts.

I like to play with the old school Fallout weapons though, so I use a mod to unnerf the minigun and another one for ammo.

First fusion core you can find is at the mole rat hole below red rocket.
What will break that quest is if you retrieve the locket from the site before accepting the quest from Blake Abernathy.

Many PA spawns are random and the same location will have different PA parts present on different on different runs. The one at the Museum is a fixed spawn and guaranteed to have all 6 pieces, albeit damaged (Sturges apparently doesn’t know what “cherry” means).

The damaged pieces can be easily repaired at any power armour workbench. You just need steel and a little circuitry to repair T45.

There's a crashed vertibird on the bridge above you at graygarden or greentop? where the robots are that may be a t 45 and easy to get.
Graygarden.

As a load screen says, power armour can often be found near crashed vertibirds.

Also good for those +1 CHA Black Rim Glasses. (If you can find them in the dark cave - I always struggle).

T45 armor is what you'll get till about level 28, after that it goes up to the more advanced models, which you might like better. If you want to get the better stuff, don't go near the PA locations until after level 28. Here's the map with all the locations.

edit: that first map was a mess and incomplete. This one's better.

And try to save fusion cores for later if you can, because even though you get power armor very early on, it is still kind of a mid / late game asset. The effective use of PA only comes when you have the materials needed to upgrade and repair the parts.

Agreed. If you use PA for just walking around, you will be out of cores very quickly. Save it for set piece battles until at least the mid game (starting level 20-30 or so).

Why do some posters insists on ruining the fun of discovery for new players!!!
As a minimum mark as spoiler or better yet dont post info like this at all unless its specifically asked for.

We all know where they are at, but most of us just give general hints at most.

I'm sure the OP's a big boy and can choose whether or not to use the map. He can also post if anything I did was a problem. But thanks for your "input", I'll give it all the consideration it's due.

I've actually pretty much done without Power Armor and I'm at level 153.. I've been using the Mechanist's armor since it became available to me, That was quite a while ago. But I've got all of the PA from T45 through Marine and Hellfire and X-02 PA. I'm just finding it more to my liking to use the Mechanist's armor bolstered by ballistic weave. I see that one of the PA sets gives me almost five times the damage resistance of what I'm wearing now. I suppose when the end game starts I might opt for some PA just to make sure, since I'm assume I'll be facing bigger guns then.
