Anyone else buying this just to play Fallout London?
Is Fallout London good? I have not played it myself but just seen a couple of clips. I did hear the ending is not fantastic but gameplay and story options are good right? Also weird how London is starting to look like the game irl...

Buying it on GoG so you get the correct version of the base game is what you will need to do, dude. You would have to roll back and make a lot of changes to the game you get here to play it.

GoG also has *a forum* for both fallout 4 and london.

I actually just wiped my install package to get rid of folon and restore to default.

Sounds not cool with me. I don't want to roll back anything. Lot of time effort put in to peronsalizing many settlements. Bummer only way to try London is thRu GOG ?? Can't get it thru Steam or Nexus Vortex ??

Probably there is a work around but it'll likely be a mess to get working

No, they have specifically stated that it's too large for nexus and since it REQUIRES the .163 prior to the next gen update, it can't be easily applied to the Steam version without going through hoops.

Thanks. You maybe saved me & others a lot of frustration from trying it by warning us best to avoid. 👍✌️

GOG is best. Don't knock it.

I'd play London, but I'm on VR right now and just can't go back to 2D... even for King and Country.
I'll wait for a VR adaptation or mod.

Well you can have both versions if you buy it on gog for the older, non-updated mod use, and steam's for the current version and cc stuff more easily.
Exactly. You can run side by side. GOG LastGen + FOLON, and also Steam NextGen. The best of both worlds.

After a fair bit of humming and aaring, that is what I did, seeing so many people complaining about downgrading the steam version then having issues finally sealed the deal for me, the annoying thing is I have barely played London since I bought it.

Arguable. You need to apply a third party patch to roll back the Fallout 4 version.

I bought the Game of the Year version of FO4 on GOG, and installed Fallout: London from there (Fallout 4 is the "right" version to install Fallout: London on GOG by default).

As for if it's worth it: I think Fallout: London is a massive achievement for such a team. That said, it had serious issues on release, and, even though they fixed huindreds of bugs now, apparently, it's still buggy. Only install if you are issue tolerant.

I must say that I don't quite understand the developers of the mod. Instead of making Fallout: London really stable, and nail most bugs out, they already work on a DLC for it... I know, that is more fun than fixing bugs, but, maybe they should make sure that the mod works fine first...

Some of the bugs being reported are engine level bugs, so they can't do anything about those.

Some are mod conflicts from people using unapproved mods (which is just about every mod when YOUR mod rewrites 90%of the game) So again, not their wheel house.

Of the bugs that are FOLON code, they have done a good job of squashing them, but yes, they have more work to do on that front. -But working on a DLC can also help with those bugs, as they will encounter them again, and have to work around or fix them.
Tried to back out the accidental update, but that was because I wanted FallUI and MCM to work, not FOLON.
Bought 163 on GOG to play with FallUI and MCM ect.
Thought about FOLON for the GOG version (I downloaded it) but the postings here on Steam were so odious I decided against installing it (but I did try, and failed so done). Some of my reservations against FOLON were too many factions.

Really? You are overwhelmed by three factions? That's even less than vanilla Fallout.

Fallout 4 vanilla is nowhere near as unstable as Fallout: London. Fallout: London crashes freqently, and, there were whole quest lines which were rendered unfinishable by bugs. Or locations you couldn't leave again, because the doors didn't work from the inside. They fixed a whole lot of these bugs, but, there are still bugs, and the game still crashes.
